Our local talk radio person just read a statement that said CBS is not going to discuss it on the news tonight. I had called CBS earlier today, and the person I spoke to said that this would be discussed on CBS Evening News tonight. If they're not going to mention it, then they must have realized they're wrong.

Don't dog Drudge. Without him, this wouldn't be a story. He's the guy everyone reads.

I THINK that OER was in use by both Air Force and Army at that time.

If these are indeed from Killian, the paper type (chemicals, weave, etc.) will say so.
Plenty of paper from 1972 still around. That's not a knockout punch.

Wans't Drudge.
Rather was on CNN/Wolf Blitzer and confirmed it, as CBS released the press release at 4:00 making that very statement.

I cannot speak for Air Guard--but during this time period--most active Navy units had IBM Selectrics. Sometime in mid-late 70s admin/personnel shops began using the electrics with the separate console--a more sophisticated version.
