But Kerry could have arrested him better.
To: piperpilot
Can you say "October surprise?" The funniest thing is that Kerry can't use the non-capture against Bush because if he says "Bush can't find Osama" and then we get OBL, Kerry is even more sunk than he was previously.
It does tell you a lot, though, when the Democrats are over there hoping that:
- Iraq disintegrates
- American soldiers die
- OBL is NOT captured
etc etc etc

Bush's final triumph over Kerry will be when Kerry's frustration leads him to publicly insinuate that the capture of OBL was timed for the election. What were the Democrats thinking when they picked that loser to run against Bush?

If we don't want what happened in Russia to happen in America, BIN LADEN MUST BE KILLED not merely arrested.

Kerry's arrests are typically more sensitive.

*checks calendar* Yep, right on schedule for the October 17th arrest.
If he really does get arrested then, I swear it was just a lucky guess! ;-)

"Kerry's arrests are typically more sensitive."
And he would be sure to get UN approval before arresting OBL.
We would probably end up paying raparations to the Taliban.

I vote for a month from now. October surprise.
To: West Coast Conservative
Personally, I think next Saturday would be the perfect day to trot out OBL! Talk about your closure...

He's dead, Jim.
Mark Steyn thinks so, and it's never too risky to agree with the brilliant Mr. Steyn.
Besides, OBL has had enormous incentives over the last three years to show his good health to the world and encourage young jihadis to join him against the Great Satan. The very existence of his organization depended on successful recruitment at a critical juncture in his self-declared war on the West. Young men need an icon, a living icon, that they can follow into battle. Nevertheless in all this time OBL has declined to prove he still lives. The only convincing reason for that is -- he's dead.

If you want to time this thing right, announce his capture the day of the first debate. How small would Kerry look? Who would even hear what he said? Bush would be all smiles, the picture of confidence. Its over now, but that would be the fork in Kerry's side.
