You're right. I'm angry and somewhat bitter at you and your cadre of Keyes-haters.
But not all anger is without good cause.
You're a bunch of hypocrites. You preach unity when it serves your purposes, but wouldn't know it if it bit you on the leg when it doesn't.
So, what do you think of the article?
Are you glad leading Catholics like Alan are part of the Republican coalition?
How about you?

They are vicious - but I think they would be much less so if people could manage to refrain from personalizing their arguments.
For example, I mentioned that I was seeing some information for the first time, thanked the person who provided that information - and for that, my posts were called "sewage".
(In Christian love, of course.)
Of course all in Christian love...nothing else.
Angry, bitter, and lashing out at everything that moves is no way to go through life, EV.
You should stop being so rude to your fellow Freepers, merely because they don't share your opinion of one man. It's very unbecoming.
My point to you about thad, is that numerically you need him. You need his vote. You need my vote. I need your vote, etc etc. We win these things by numerical strength, not purity.
Of course.
I'm not glad that folks are ripping each other's throats out over a doomed campaign. Yes, regardless of his position, Keyes campaign is doomed and there is NOTHING that can save it.
So why people are making this into such a divisive issue is beyond me.
Not sure but I'll give it a try.
Alan Keyes is running for a senate seat in Illinois and as such could gain a tie-breaking role in the post-election Congress. During the time this Congress convenes it will confront the issues of the War on Terror and its funding, ESCR, an assault on the PBA ban, realignment of domestic law enforcement in support of the WOT, appointments of judges, and a host of other pressing issues a country like our's faces during a time of war.
We've seen what the left is capable of doing: namely lying, attempting to ban books, smear good vets, potentially trying to steal an election (again), subverting the WOT, appease globalists, and hamstringing this administration by any means necessay.
So ask yourself: Is the pettiness on this forum worth losing the one Senate seat that is up for grabs and all that that entails? If not then you know what to do.
With friends like you, who needs Democrats...
Backatcha.
Of the Keyes threads that have been posted on FR in the last four years, how many have you come onto slamming him?
Just from my experience, I figure it runs well into the 80th percentile.
He's campaigning in Illinios. He's campaigning on a Pro-Life ticket in Illinios. He's campaigning against one of the rising stars of the Democratic party, in Illinios. The Democrats are going to pour tons of money into that race, in Illinios, if it gets even remotely close.
You don't need friends, you need the last rites.
Don't compare my behavior to yours, Champ. If there is a more ticked off, insult-flinging person than you on FR, I haven't seen them.
For all the Keyes threads I've been on, you've been on more, talking to your fellow Freepers like dogs.
You must be incredibly frustrated.
Dem money spent in IL is money not spent in SD, or OH, or PA, or FL, or NC, or IA, or NM, or WV or NH or MI or AR or elsewhere.
Sam Houston was damned glad for those fellas in the Alamo tying up the Mexicans.
You should be so smart.
I know. I know it well.
My hope is the bulk of FReepers now know it, too. Otherwise I wouldn't waste my time on them.
It must be the ceaseless barking and yowling.
Hey add Nevada to that dem cash allotment. Reid needs to come home. All that he's gotten during his time in Washington are promotions in rank for himself and Yucca Mountain for everyone else.
Yes, and General Custer wasn't glad when his scouts told him he was riding to a haircut, the Titanic was unsinkable and Mary Poppins could fly.
Agreed.
