My point, which you missed, is if she is engaging in illegal behaviors, go after her on those grounds.
The first question my fellow students asked when I had finished, was how I could be prolife? Their next statement accused me of being a racist.
I of course I reponded that Walter Williams and Thomas Sowell were black. The response to that was "well then their racist too!"
I once had the opportunity to repeat this story to Mr. Williams. He said,"That's what you get for using my material," and then laughed. We chatted for just a few minutes thereafter. This was in the middle of the night on Dom Giordano's Philly talk radio show, around the time of the Clarence Thomas hearings. The next day I went to Washington to support Thomas.
The point of that long story is to say I have been fond of Walter William's since my university days. I find him to be one of the most reasonable libertarians and it was such a thrill to have the chance to speak with him and relay that story. Talk radio can really be quite amazing and gives you the opportunity to speak with people you might otherwise not be able to.

I heard a funny, but true, comment on one of the Talk shows yesterday. (I listen to Neal, then Rush, then Sean.) I can't remember which show the caller was on, but he said that skin color or heritage no longer defines being Black. Instead it is the political affiliation that determines if you are black. He used Clarence Thomas as an example of a person with Black skin that was not considered black and The Impeached one as a person with white skin but still considered black.
It is amazing that political ideology is now the basis for one's race!

My point is that we don't just pick and choose the court orders we obey. There was no justification for what she did IMHO...which last time I heard was still supported by first amendment freedom of speech.

A clear plastic bag is "doubled plastic" and looking through it is distorted, just try it.
Just a minute ago you said that you can't see through it. Now you can see through it some? So is looking through a piece of glass. Maybe just not as much.
Slit the bag and you only have "single plastic".
She was trying to comply with the court order to keep her kids away from her smoking while on a road trip. Yet you don't even take this into account. Analogous to stepping on the back porch to have a smoke while keeping an eye on the kids through the patio door.
Again, I'm not saying that she should not have been punished for breaking a court order, the court order should never have been given, IMO.
If she breaks the terms of the custody agreement you take unsupervised visits away first, then as the behaviour continues you up the stakes.
You don't get a court order. At least, IMO.

This is a no win situation, you are entitled to your opinion, and I mine....maybe she'll be in news again with more facts on her actual attitude or behavior problem.
