When you're satirizing an organization that thinks it's OK to molest children, or eco-wacos who want to get in touch with the "spirit of the rain forest," or a crazy woman activist who wants to nuke Canada over fart jokes, or Americans' pre-occupation with plastic surgery, or the stupid, souless, mindless indoctrination that goes on in a lot of public schools, you don't do "wholesome." You give it right back with wicked, biting humor.

When Jonathan Swift wrote the following in A Modest Proposal, he wasn't being exactly uplifting, either.

”I have been assured by a very knowing American of my acquaintance in London, that a young healthy child well nursed is at a year old a most delicious, nourishing, and wholesome food, whether stewed, roasted, baked, or boiled ...”

But it was far more an effective skewer of British policies in Ireland than any "nice" sermon. Same thing with the South Park writers/artists. What they're satirizing is serious, and so therefore is their satire.

OK Now I'm impressed.

However, I might have one up on ya!?

When my PC comes up and shuts down I have each custom set with Timmy screaming out his name the way only he can. AND my PC is wired into my stereo system w a large sub. So when I reboot it can be a SP experience.

One day my dad, 72 years young NOT an "Old Cracker" yet, who knows squat about computers came over. I rebooted and scared the "heck" out of him.

Also: Kyle's cousin from New York, who's name is also Kyle: One time I had my PC come on with his line at the airport "Hello Aunt Sheila" and on shut down had his snoring.

And since I started typing this I’m thinking another good start-up would be Tweaks line: “It’s too much pressure!!”

What's wrong with South Park??? It has friendly faces everywhere and humble folk without temptation, for crying out loud!

You might not want to go any further. The show's quality drops precipitously after season three. :-(

I just started season 6, and I don't agree. I'm lovin' it, as they say in the McDonald's ads. :)

A haiku for Old Cracker:

Have not seen you here
So I did a google search
To find this old thread

I clicked on your name
To see what you've been doing
But saw you were banned

It's not surprising
Nobody really gives a damn
That you are not here
