Very salient comments, my friend. Good to see you.
"I know; it's almost like you can stand anybody with an opinion different from yours."
My opinion is right, and yours is silly. When it's not silly, then I will "can stand anybody" (that's can't, isn't it?)
I don't know very much about him, so I figured I'd better ask. I guess his father is African - but his mother is an American and he was born here, right? (Your description threw me...but then again, I'm easily thrown. LOL)
Good grief, get a hold of yourself. You keep saying things like that to people who don't march in lockstep with you and you won't have many supporters at all.
Still got my list! ;-)
Oh, man, I'll have to get back to you on that one! That's quite a choice there!
But that's not what Goldwater did either, he did his part, and let those who followed do their part. It is not Keyes' role to rebuild the party, his job is to energize the people so that they will be able to do it in the future.
But you still haven't answered my question, who's YOUR candidate. It's easy to pick apart Keyes or anyone else, because we all have flaws. Suggest somebody that would be better than Keyes. Offer a solution. Otherwise it comes across as just plain childish whinning.
As I said, I understand your frustration at your state party leaders. I just hope you can set it aside to work for the one person in the race who will fight for what you want, should he decide to accept the challenge.
I'm not asking you to march lockstep with me.
If I thought you would listen I would ask you to stop tearing down a fellow Republican.
I'd consider it if I hadn't seen you do the very same thing to other Republicans you don't like.
I used that term for a very good reason and it fits the one person I used it for.
Sincerely, no offense, EV - but have you ever asked the same of Alan?
Ah, another brownshirt conservative, I see.
Good to see you as well, though I suspect that you'll be leaving the physical vicinity of Idaho for bigger and (hopefully better) duties in Illinois. :)
Okay. I've not torn down a fellow Republican. I'm asking you to stop. Now will you consider it, or was that comment a red herring?
In theory, yes. This election has high stakes and right now we just went from NONE to SLIM. I'll take the new odds any day and even if Alan loses, he'll lose because Illinois voters WANT a die hard Leftist in the Senate. Barthwell is a RINO and I don't think too many GOPers in the Land Of Lincoln like him. Alan is the real deal. I don't care where he was born - I care that he shares MY values.
Don't you know that THEY can say anything they want about us,but WE can NEVER state a fact? And heaven forfend, that WE should ever dare to use the same tactics they have used against us. LOL
Pining over what someone may or may not have done in the past does no good.
Everyone knows the Illinois GOP is in a deplorable condition.
But the direction to look is forward, with a positive attitude.
That's what winners do.
Notwithstanding a very few marginal disgruntled types, the GOP will be unified like I've never seen it over this race.
I'm figuring that out right now.

I love your use of the English language (your second sentence; if it is a sentence). Are you an American citizen? Maybe that's why you don't like Keyes. He's not part Kenyan.
