In my opinion, the very beginning was beyond lame and he stumbled. The Bush bashing revs this crowd up big time and that's when he does well. I am stunned, as I have been from the beginning of the convention, that they don't allow the crowd to chant longer.
He is being incredibly pompous right now--quoting Ron P. Reagan by name and saying he, John Kerry, doesn't wear his religion on his sleeve. I honestly don't know how appealing America will find such a revolting approach. We shall see.

He is absolutely disgusting. The rhetoric is all over the place and I don't know how anyone listening to this speech can understand who John Kerry is and what he stands for.
IMO, he hit his stride about ten minutes in and was humming for a while. But this is just pablum now.
It's truly sickening how he talks about not using hateful speech and then accuses the president of dividing people and tearing up the constitution.
God isn't on our side--yeah, that'll sell in the swing states.

The guy is sweating like a pig. His speech is totally boring and cliche. And he's aping all of GWB's hawkish instincts! He's essentially triangulating GWB's position of strength, which of course shows what a disgusting hypocrite Kerry is. When all is said and done, America is going to look at the guy who is already doing the job and the guy who wants a shot doing the job but has no real proof that he can do it, and they'll choose the guy who is reliable. Simple as that.
He's hoping that he is on God's side. If you don't know...you are in trouble.
