after 9-11, a good number of the few remaining Republicans in NY moved - and many went to NJ.
I checked the data you cite, those are all EASTERN TIME ZONES.
Florida polls do not close until 8:00 PM EASTERN
Most Florida polls close 7:00 PM, but NOT ALL.
So, a call was made for Florida BEFORE THE CLOSING OF THE POLLS.
Devestated turnout for the GOP in heavily GOP areas.
Networks knew Florida polls closed at 8:00 because SECRETARY OF STATE HAD CALLED AND SENT LETTERS BEGGING THEM TO NOT MAKE PROJECTIONS UNTIL POLLS CLOSED. This straight out of book written by vilified s'cty of state who is now congresswoman.
Deliberate monkeying with election.
there would be some more change in congress too if NJ fell to President Bush. wishing isn't against the law-door pounding will help win in Nov.

This race is closer than a guido's speedo! I'm hotter than a Texas wildcat who's in heat and has just seen a Georgia Bulldog who's aiming to please. This race is coming down to the wire. It's tighter than Pam Anderson's boob implants on a space shuttle flight from the Mir to Oswego.
Does anyone know what the hell he's talking about???
So it's not just me then?
We must still vote even if they declare the state for Kerry early. I know a lot of people who didn't vote because they thought it was over by the time they got out of work.
Montclair is a very superficially upscale, bohemian-bourgeousie town with art galleries, chic restaurants, and small bookstores. A Whole Foods sort of town. I say superficially upscale because since local taxes are quite high a lot of people are house poor and take in tenants on the sly.
Wayne is a town with no pretensions that turns into a rice paddy every spring and fall.
Most of New Jersey is more like Wayne culturally than Montclair.
I hope Bush doesn't take this bait and waste a lot of $ in NJ. The place is a liberal toilet, corrupt to the core, and owned and operated by the education mafia as well as the regular old Mafia. My advice: leave it alone.
The problem with that is that Bush would have to waste money in New Jersey.
New Jersey GOP should focus like an SOB on the recent switch registrations and new GOP voters. There are towns where 30 and more kids lost their fathers on 9/11, and some of those kids are now voting in their first presidential. Those towns are rich Bush territory, I would think. Forget the visible campaigning, which only serves to remind the Garden State liberals that there's an election. Just get on those cell phones on All Saints' Day--focused--and GOTV.
New Jersey alert
"I checked the data you cite, those are all EASTERN TIME ZONES."
What's to check, the second note below the data table I posted clearly says that all times are "Eastern Standard Time", so there was NOTHING to 'look up'. All Florida polls close at 7:00pm of the local time. In the panhandle that means 7:00pm Central Standard Time, which is 8:00pm Eastern Standard Time.
Now look at the table below again, and you will see that NBC/MSNBC called Florida for Gore at 7:49:40 EST, which TRANSLATES to 6:49:40 CST for the time-zone challenged. No matter HOW you look at it, the NBC call was only 10 minutes and 20 seconds early for the polls still open in the Florida panhandle, not the 52 minutes you keep tring to claim. Sure it affected the election, but you have to get your FACTs straight. Living in fantasy-land is what Democrats do, not us.

So I say again, if the call had been made at 8:00pm EST exactly, it still would have cost Bush votes as many still in line might have just left, so condititioned are many to believe everything they see and hear on television...

Just as in California, NJ is a large contributor to Republican Presidential candidates, the votes might not be there, but the Republican interests donate heavily to the party.
Outside the "known unknowns" that are possible, as per Rumsfeld's comments on possible terrorist attacks meant to disrupt or alter the election, I don't see Bush taking NJ's electoral votes.
Dales you win, you're the Oracle of Penna, the Jersey Freepers have Stockholm syndrome apparently, at least when looking at the voting mood in the state.
How about branching out into stock tips? Kidding, awaiting another lively ECB update thread.
They Have a Whole Foods..FCOL.
Yet no Campaign HQ in NJ, how does he expcet to win?
