"I can't pedal fast enough to get out of this stinking country!"
Lemond is a lib. I used to idolize the guy. If you were to hear the cr@p that comes out of his mouth it would make you cry.
Nothing gets in the way of his focus.
You can tell by the armpit hair.
French women have a little less than the men.
I missed the article that you and Huck read that displays evidence that his children are suffering because he is a professional athelete who is doing what he does best at the rate of millions of dollars a year.
Could you please repost it?
What's scary is that anyone of these a*holes could knock him off his bike and maybe end his championship run.
"Can you overnight those tazers to me?"
Tazers would be effective, and lightweight, too!!
Good catch. I didn't notice, and I didnt see Basso hanging on his wheel. It has to be fourteen -- the day he went into the yellow.
Eurotrash Asskicker Extroadinaire!
In YOUR case, since there ain't much chance of you winning any bicycle race and since it is unlikely you have devoted your entire life to becomming one of the world's best of anything and attempting to profit financially from that endeavor in the brief number of years in which you have to do it, YOUR only likely option is raising your children.
Within 5 years after Armstrong retires, you probably will never hear his name again, such as the fate of LeMond.
You won't see him endorsing Nike, Subaru, Titelist or any other product for that matter. You won't see his football, baseball, or basketball play-by-play analysis and unless some other American cycling extraordinaire comes along, you probably won't even hear the TdF mentioned during prime time sports news unless as a 5 second side note........
Today, in this country, Lance Armstrong IS the Obscure Tour de France! Without a spectacular successor, the TdF becomes irrelevant in American sports once again......
I wouldn't know nor do I really care. He has become irrelevant. He is merely an ex-international bike jockey who used to be the best........
Lance the Champ will be there soon enough. Fame is fleeting in the cycle sports (as well as many other sports) which is why you profit from it as best as you can during the brief period of time you have to do it and hope you made enough money and contacts to sustain you until retirement age.
"This is what I do, this is what I have always done, this is all I know. For the brief period of time that I am allowed to do this, I intend to be the best, whatever it takes!" Author unknown.....
All of your yellow jersey are belong to Lance!
Please FReepmail me if you want on or off my Tour de France 2004 list. *Warning: This may be a high-volume ping list at times during July 2004.
(Yes... this photo was taken in France!)
It's sad to see a family broken up over a bicycle race. Seems frivolous to me, as do all the public displays of affection from him and the skanky rock star who happens to be ten years his senior, and who seems to make the rounds. I'm guessing the twins don't like seeing that on tee vee, but maybe I am wrong.
LOL! ;-D
Calling in a strike from an orbiting AC-130 gunship comes to mind.
I'm watching a LOVELY progam on the development of the A10 Warthog on Discovery Wings right now.
MMMMMMMMMM.
30mm depleted uranium gattling gun canon.
MMMMMMMMMM.
Yeah, a family is a big distraction.
