Well .. from Biblical time .. when Moses led Israel to the promised land .. there have been the typical naysayers. They will always be with us. When Moses sent the spies out to scope out the land where God had told them to go .. the spies came back to Moses with a bad report. However, thankfully, Joshua and Caleb believed GOD, and were not afraid to do what GOD told them - possess the land.

During WWII, there were US congress people who went over to Germany and were stunned by what they saw. They were so afraid and said we could never defeat the Nazis. But .. we did because of FDR's and Eisenhower's believed we were able.

Why were these men able to believe when others did not ..? Because the same purpose which drove Joshua and Caleb is a spiritual quality.

However .. if you read some of the articles from WWII and today .. you will find the media is STILL SAYING THE SAME THING. They still think this is too hard for America to do, that we should give up and quit .. that the terrorists are too difficult for us to handle.

But .. there's someone with the same spirit of Joshua and Caleb .. President George W. Bush; someone willing to believe WE ARE ABLE TO GO UP AND TAKE THE LAND - AND WIN IN IRAQ!!

Hope that helps. If not, you can read the story of Moses in the Bible and maybe that will help to clear things up.

At the Battle of the Bulge, between 16 December 1944 and 28 January 1945 , there were 81,000 American casualties, including 23,554 captured and 19,000 killed.

During that time period, there was no mention of a "quagmire" or of "record setting casualty rates" on TIME Magazine covers. During Word War II, trying to demoralize the American Home Front was the job of Nazi Germany's Reichsministerium für Volksaufklärung und Propaganda.

If today's media covered WW2, we would have lost the war.

Or, they would have all been shot.
