That's my thinking
I've seen rumors on the left site that Dean's name has been floating around too
I think that would be good, for Bush.
Yea but the loony left don't think so ... they were drooling over the thought
They acknowledge the scream would be held against Dean .. but they thought he could spin it and over come it
9:30 a.m.: Convene and resume consideration of S. 2400, the Department of Defense Authorization bill for Fiscal Year 2005.
Hum, I expect this to be a straight party line vote but there were some dmes that voted against it.
Bayh (D-IN)Baucus (D-MT)Miller (D-GA)Nelson (D-NE)Pryor (D-AR)
Are they just taking up time?
I just turned him off and was heading to the kitchen, but yeah, it looks like more stalling B.S. I had the House on for a bit and they were doing the same thing and all the amendments were being rejected on the grounds of "legislating on an appropriations bill".

Gee ... only 300?
What was it that McCain said about us cutting back???
Maybe he should have a talk with his fellow Senators
The dems have GOT have a plan w/ all these amendments, Dorgan up now talking about FCC rules and "big media".
They're stalling this bill for a reason.
My guess is they don't want this to be voted on until after the 6 week break just so they can say; "HA, look Bush isn't funding the Armed Forces." durring that break.
That or they can be hoping he either vetoes it due all the pork spending or ticks of the base if he does signs it
Yeah either of those could be true, but the one thing I can see is that the dems are working AGAINST what is good for the country just for [what they see as] political gain.
I totally agree with you
Thanks for the ping
