I corrected myself a few posts later.
Where would that low life SOB get film with Nick Berg in it?
If he got it directly from the source, he is legally a traitor.
If he , by coincidence, and there are no coincidences, interviewed Berg the nystery deepens.
Who was Nick Berg? Do we really know ? Who is Michael Moore? I don't think we know the full story on him either.
Thanks for the link...that clears that question up. But the question remains...just what is Moore negotiating with the family?
Obviously, the barbarians consider Mooooore to be friendly to their cause.
That is the only logical explanation that I can come up with.
I must say, that's one heck of an interesting speculation.
Granted, I think she should be punished, but that's cruel and unusual.
Update...
Moore's film crew interviewed Berg but he didn't use the footage in his movie. Someone informed the press that Moore had this unreleased footage and now Moore is dealing with the family regarding it. I'm wondering if he ever intended to let authorities know that he had this interview from prior to Nick's murder.
Per salon.com...
http://www.salon.com/ent/feature/2004/05/27/fahrenheit_911/index_np.html
"Word of the footage reached Salon through a source unaffiliated with Moore, or his film, "Fahrenheit 9/11,""
If he's got the film and dealing with the family privately why is he telling the Associated Press?
Free publicity is why he's telling the AP...he's got a new movie, ya know, so he's using Nick Berg's murder in order to promote Michael Moore & MM's new film. He could have quietly given the footage to the family without any announcement. Other reason is that he's trying to goad the administration into taking some sort of legal action vs him to obtain the film which is likely considered ''evidence''. And if Ashcroft or the FBI show up on his doorstep, he gets more free publicity.
See post #88... mystery solved.
Something else to ponder: What if the beheading video was shot on Berg's (Moore's?) own camcorder?
One of the most apt political parodies I've ever seen ;-)
It is just an interview for the documentary, pre Berg's capture. It probably shows pro Iraq policy views, hence it was not used. Moore is not blackmailing the Berg family. They are communists and they and Moore figure the father can make a "family request" that the interview never be shown. But it is "criminal" that wew ill not get to see murdered Nick Berg in his own words. If the father agrees with such an approach, he is as shameless as we already knew him to be.
You can really see the family resembelence! LOL!
**PROJECTILE BARF ALERT**
The real tip off is the reference to Nick Berg having had "staunch pro war" views. obviously, people familiar with the footage know it reflects those views. The statements of a murdered American are to be covered up, while the Marxist family uses his death to promote a pro-terrorist agenda. i feel strongly there should be demands for this footage to be released. How much do you want to bet 90% of the footage Moore shot in Iraq was pro-American and thus deep sixed?
This is the most rational, intelligent point on this thread.
We all hate Moore, but there is no evidence to believe that Berg was doing anything fishy in Iraq other than his naive going there in the first place. And Moore is obviously using the fact that he has this tape just to grandstand: by now the echoes of his standing O in Cannes are fading and he needs a little more limelight.
Lucky for us that he does, because now the authorities know that it exists and can subpoena it for possibly useful info leading to his murder.
You mean he interviewed NICK,
not Michael(who is the father).
