I dunno. The few entries I read sounded so superficial, that I'm not sure there's a sufficient "there" there, in order to have issues. I know this isn't nice to say, but in the character department, she sounds a bit amoeba-like to me.
3 people in a studio apartment. Just great. I'm more familiar with "tweekers", but I know the hard look and the lies.
What's a "tweeker"?
That's the point. It's too superficial. Rather detached from reality, or even better...totally made up???? I'm wondering. Of course a shrink would just say that I am projecting my own feelings and beliefs, heehee...
A tweeker is a methamphetamine user. They whore, lie, cheat their best friends (in one case my 21 yr old's friend since grade school ripped off her rent money. End of friendship), screw over their families, then look at you like you have a nerve when you complain.
Maybe our lovely Jessica has a drug problem?
Really, though, isn't there a girl like her in every office in America?
She sounds like the girls I tell my 16 yr old son to avoid. Women like that have a problem. I couldn't say if there is a girl like that in every office. The places I've worked didn't have them.
I feel bad for her and Monica Lewinsky. What man would want to marry either of them, and bear his children?
I've dated my share of girls like that. They're a good time, but they tire you out pretty quick. As my dad used to say, "Some women are for dating, others are for marriage."
I couldn't say if there is a girl like that in every office. The places I've worked didn't have them.
I dunno. If you work at a big enough office, there are bound to be people who lead pretty wild personal lives. Of course, not everyone is upfront about it.
That's an interesting question. A lot of guys have a Madonna/whore thing going on when it comes to women. They have no problems dating naughty girls, but they expect their wives to be as pure as the driven snow. It's a double standard- nobody thinks poorly of a young guy who sows his wild oats and dates lots of women, yet a woman who does that is looked down upon.
After all, part of the big deal here is that this woman was sleeping with six guys in the same timeframe and everyone is calling her a skank for doing so. A guy who did that would be getting electronic high-fives from many of the posters here.
The big deal these days is HIV/AIDS. That's why I told my son to avoid the easy ones. There are also other incurable STD's. HPV is one. Did you know that a man can get infected and be a silent carrier? Also these are the types of girls who would lie about being on the pill, if they perceived that the "rewards" were sufficient enough. Please understand that I'm not talking about women who work on the Hill. The birds and bees speech is getting complicated, especially when you're the mom. Besides disease, I don't want my son to be caught in the child support trap.
The Madonna/Whore thing has been going on for eons. I think this stems from a man wanting to know that his kids are actually his kids. He wants a woman who will be a good mother and a loyal wife. Party girls get used because they're easy. They're also ignorant. They aren't planning for their future.
I've been friends with a woman since we were 12. She's divorced with no kids, and she and her dad run a profitable business. When I moved back down here, I thought we could hang out once in a while. All she does is go to bars and pick up men. We're both in our early 40's. I'm not going to go into details, but I quit hanging out with her. I'm angry with her because it's gross, and several men assumed that because I showed up with her, I was the same way. I haven't had much to do with her since she invited me to go with her to our high school reunion.
If Jessica had been discreet, she'd still be employed. No one would know her business. She would have a chance at overcoming her behavior problems and no one would be the wiser. When you hang your dirty laundry in public, people are going to make judgement calls. Don't be so sure that men who behave like that would automatically get "high fives", especially on this site.
Jessica Cutler...washed up at 24.
