I second that . . . and welcome to FR, nanette!
Good night, all. It's been a good day though with challenges. I am awed and grateful for God's goodness and faithfulness to me and my family. May those be apparent to Terri, her family, and those here as well.
p.s. good night, ((( fv))) !
Thanks, Cyn - I've lurked for a long time. My first post had to be for Terri. She's on my heart every day.
What a wonderful idea. Welcome to Free Republic! So grateful to have someone new praying for Terri.
Heavenly Father, we return to give You thanks that with You, all things are possible. It is on this that we rely, O God, for it has been impossible for man to break the chains that bind this mother's child to a sentence of death. How patient You are, O Lord, for You continue to provide opportunity for the merchants of death to repent of their ways. You have sustained Terri through every crisis that has been thrust upon her ... You have encouraged her family against all hope ... we praise You for Your faithfulness and mercy.
Like the woman before the unrighteous judge who would not be put off in seeking justice, so we continue our prayers on Terri's behalf. If the unrighteous judge relented and rendered justice, how much more so will our Righteous Judge render justice on behalf of this mother's child. We are weary in the waiting, O God, but even in our weariness, we know that You are not willing that any should perish. May the hearts of those who seek death be turned into hearts that are given new life through Jesus Christ.
Be the watchman who stands guard over Terri night and day ... turn aside all those who would harm her ... empower all those who would help her. Bring forth the guilty ... release the innocent, in the Name of Jesus, I pray, Amen ...
Thank you so much, Pegita. I will pull up your prayer tomorrow morning when I am at work. (can lurk only there, not post.) Psalm 3
Thank you. I've lurked here so long, I feel I know you all.
Easier and better way to put the Terri Schindler Life Ribbon on your computer screen.
If you are going to install the DeskFlag program (see towards the bottom of the directions) you might want
to do that first before you decide where to place the Terri Life Ribbon on your screen.
Remove Holiday Lights if you installed this previously
from your Add/Remove programs.
To put a Terri Schindler Schiavo Life Ribbon on the bottom right of
your computer screen:
Copy the ribbon2.gif (extract from zip file) to your c:\windows folder
or any folder you like where it will not be deleted:
http://www.bellsouthpwp.net/p/c/pc93/ribbon2.zip
You install this Desktop Logo program avail from:
http://mt.smolyan.info/dl.php?p=Desktop%20Logo
Either open and install or save and install
from your local pc.
Once installed run the Desktop Logo program.
Follow the three easy steps.
Make sure the Add to startup checkbox is checked.
Button Step 1 is choosing the ribbon2.gif from the
location you place it.
Button Step 2 is to position the ribbon on your
screen.. bottom right corner above your system
tray is a good place.
Button Step 3 - Exit.
Another neat program available from Tiger Technologies which is free is DeskFlag..
you can install this to from:
http://www.tigertech.com/files/DeskFlagSetup.exe
DeskFlag was created after the terrorist attacks of September 11,
2001, and is dedicated to the memory of the victims. We hope that in
some small way, using
this program helps people demonstrate their condemnation of this
senseless act.
Let me know how it goes.
Jan Govan's campaign is starting to churn. If anyone wants to join my Jan Govan-Defeat George Greer Ping list, freepmail "floriduh voter".
The "state" is not permitted to choose the manner of someone's death. It is against the law but don't tell that to Judge Greer, Judge Baird, Judge Demers and Judge Lendermann.
The Tampa Tribune article just the other day re: Jan Govan stated that Terri's supporters were the "unwashed and the unclean". Imagine the nerve of that reporter to characterize thousands of people who represent America being called unwashed and unclean.
"True, Greer drew the short straw when the Schiavo case came up, but after a dozen opportunities to bail on that case, he has never done so, despite vicious personal attacks from the unwashed and uninformed, saving colleagues from a thankless task."
FV SAYS: WE KNOW THAT GEORGE GREER WANTS TO KILL AN INNOCENT WOMAN. HE'S ALREADY TRIED 2 OR 3 TIMES.
How does that make US unwashed and uninformed simply because we know he's dead wrong?
THE DIRT IS WEARING BLACK ROBES. He's using his lawyer friends to attack the large voting block who want him to lose his job. Remember, Terri's just one guardianship. What do the others look like? I bet they are disastrous too.
WHERE ARE THE STATE AUDITORS SWOOPING IN TO DO INDEPENDENT AUDITS of all the guardianships? Never mind. I forgot Greer is on the Conference of Circuit Court Judges and he's not going to turn himself in.
Tampa paper apologizes for big mistake
Ran editorial saying Lightning hockey team lost championship
http://www.worldnetdaily.com/
And they expect us to believe their hit piece against Jan Govan. hah! IMO, Terri's guardianship should have never been considered drawing a "short straw" or a thankless job. She's a human being and the Tampa Tribune fails to acknowledge that. I wonder who provided the reporter with the language re: drawing the short straw. Chances are it had to be from a judge and Greer was so brave to be the one to kill this innocent woman. DEFEAT GREER PING LIST - freepmail floriduh voter
Ping that goes BUMP in the night! Here's a little prayer to go with that - may God use Terri for His purposes, and may she be set free. In Jesus name we pray...
What is the matter with that paper to report such nonsense about Terri? Talking about unwashed and unclean -- seems it fits the paper.
He just made himself the laughing stock of the internet.
The St. Pete Times and the Tampa Tribune are connected somehow.
Quality is Job Zero.
Unwashed and unclean? For their information I've been washed in The Blood of The Lamb! That makes life very precious to me and even moreso the One who provides it!
