Pinging hunter112 to the thread.......

You told me on another thread on this topic that nothing that conservatives (in your experience -- I'll have to trust you on that) had argued to date on the subject of exposing marriage to redefinition by homosexuals for their own purposes was substantive or cogent enough for you to alter your phlegmatic view that "change happens".

Pinging you to this thread -- what you think of Satinover's arguments, since you didn't like mine?

I think we've stated, over and over, everything Satinover stated above and we've been called names, denigrated, and attacked for doing so. I choose to do this because it's the right thing to do.

I think you forgot to mention "baited, patronized, condescended to, and disregarded". And that's by alleged conservatives and Republicans!

The other side, of course, is surveying land for concentration camps.

"2. The scientists cited have specifically identified themselves as "gay" or "lesbian" and/or as more generally sympathetic to "gay activist" political positions.

While I admire Satinover's grit, I don't think he should have made this concession at all -- even though he still makes a strong case having accepted the hobble.

If I oppose the proposition "2+2=5.3", I shouldn't want my views either of the proposition itself or of the mental powers of its advocates excluded from the forum simply on grounds that I'm "bigoted" for having taken a stand.

Likewise, any serious mathematician who looks into that hypothecated proposition will come to oppose it vigorously, if he is competent -- and so his view shouldn't be excluded at all, but would be if the other side were playing by homosexual campaign rules.

Pinging again.......

From Satinover's article quoted above,

What is known, from decades of research on family structure, studying literally thousands of children, is that every departure from the traditional, stable, mother-father family has severe detrimental effects upon children; and these effects persist not only into adulthood but into the next generation as well.

In short, the central problem with mother-mother or father-father families is that they deliberately institute, and intend to keep in place indefinitely, a family structure known to be deficient in being obligatorily and permanently either fatherless or motherless.

[Emphasis added.]
