See 61. Link to the Supreme Court Decision. It covers "denying crucial public services". That's a very broad ruling.

READ DICK THORNBURG'S BRIEF.... This is exactly the life threatening dilemma Terri is in and she cannot crawl up courthouse steps and she doesn't have a voice (obviously) in the courthouse.

Please ping your friends to read these links to ADA court rulings. They may be key in Terri's situation.

God bless Terri and her family. And may God give Governor Jeb Bush the strength to deliver Terri from the clutches of death.

Will be watching Greta tonight, thanks.

BTW, anyone catch the report they just had on FNC by Trace Gallagher on AZ's new online Living Will database they have in mind? Trace said "THIS TYPE OF DATABASE WOULD ELIMINATE SITUATIONS LIKE THE FLORIDA CASE OF TERRI SCHIAVO".

I immediately shot them an e-mail to set them straight on the fact that TERRI DOESN'T HAVE A LIVING WILL! Told them they needed to do a better job of fact checking, and they were missing the big story with Terri, namely JUDICIAL ACTIVISM AND CORRUPTION IN THE FLORIDA "JUSTICE" SYSTEM.

I sure hope Greta gives the Schindlers sufficient time to get the facts out tonight. Seems like the segments FNC has done on this are SO SHORT.

Michael is NO puppet! He has a vendetta against his inlaws. He lived with them after Terri's "accident" and Mr. Schindler paid Terri's bills while Michael worked on his lawsuit to get money.

When he got that money, he refused to pay Mr. Schindler a dime, and immediately began trying to have Terri killed!

I believe he is responsible for Terri's "accident"...at the bare minimum he is responsible as a health worker he did not render any aid to the sick Terri. He did not call an ambulance, nor did he try to administer CPR. I believe he is legally liable, knowing CPR and being certified, and then not administering that aid.

I wonder why the family has not pursued that tack? I am an EMT, and it has been drilled into my head that I must render aid, and I can not stop until someone with equal or more training than I, takes over. We are often told we could be sued.

Why hasn't the family sued MS as a "respiratory therapist" who did not attempt to help a dying person?

They have been advertising this all day.

God Bless Greta! She is the only one who really has given Terri a chance!

Hi. I think that is the very point that Trace was trying to make, that IF Terri had had access to a database like this...or if she would have actually had her wishes in writing, this fight would not have happened. Mikey would have no case at all.

I believe that the very fact that Terri is a practicing Catholic, should make the courts assume that Terri would want to be kept alive! Also, Terri DID comment to a friend that Karen Ann Quinnland should not be unplugged.

Very well worth reposting! Thank you.

I wonder, what about trying to get additional legislation through your legislature?

What about a bill that says in effect, that if a person wins a monetary settlement in a medical lawsuit based on the life expectancy of the victim; the money may not be used for anything but the care of the victim. And if that victim should happen to die without leaving any children, all unspent monies would go into a public fund, like medicare?

Even if there was a DATABASE, any judge could over-rule said database if the caretaker was of the same caliber as HINO.

Many people don't realize what a living will is and when they find out they're being starved, the people with the nourishment and water, ignore their pleas.

In other words, if you have a Living Will, MANY TIMES, YOU CANNOT CHANGE YOUR MIND.

Advice to the Schindlers: Get a new lawyer! One who knows how to deal with the system & the courts & the judges.

Your current lawyer isn't doing you any good. Please, I beg you, if you want to effect a change, YOU NEED A NEW LAWYER. Your current lawyer isn't strong enough or savvy enough or competent enough to deal with all of this.

Michael and the judges in Florida are throwing one roadblock after another at you. If you had a competent lawyer, you'd be able to toss these roadblocks aside as if they were styrofoam.

Get a new lawyer!

Oh, I see your point. Could be. Guess we'll have to see if the database idea will result in more living wills in Arizona. Personally, I don't see the database as much of an incentive, though. If someone really felt strongly about it, they'd have one in writing, I would think.

And I agree with you that it should be presumed Terri wanted to live, absent something in writing stating otherwise.
