Article II, Section 2, states, "The President shall be Commander in Chief of the Army and Navy of the United States, and of the Militia of the several States, when called into the actual Service of the United States ..."
No.
It's perfectly in context with what you were replying to.
Try again.
"Social Security, Medicare, healthcare, HHS, Dept of Education
The standard neocon answer is to accept those as 'necessary evils'. Some conservatism...."
Funny...all the tax dollar sucking programs you mention were started by DEMOCRATS!
Anytime there is an attempt to privatize one of these programs...do away with the department or otherwise try to reign in an out of control agency...it's the RATS who scream bloody murder against it and try to demonize the "neo-cons" as you refer to us, who by the way are always the ones who try to limit these entitlements.
Nice attempt to spin this...but again you show your ignorance of the subject...settling instead for spouting crazy theories that have no basis in fact.
He's obviously not gotten the new RAT talking points. He's painted all of us as "neo-cons" which these days is code speak (especially if your a writer for the NY Times or Washington Post) for "Jewish or someone with pro-jewish leanings."
So in your twisted view the ONLY legitimate military force in this country is the National Guard?
WOW! If that's true does that mean that my contract I signed with the Active army is no good?
I believe in putting my country first always ,of course, but I support the right of Israel to exist... This Christian does wonder about the "neo con" word and what people's motive or interpretation of neo con is when they to use it. I hate racism and bigotry...
Any news on the two soldiers that were injured by this IED?
(jumping back in) JOhn Galt is banned? Glory Be To God!
I support the right of Israel to KICK ASS! Guess that makes me a Neocon too. ;)
They weren't injured from the blast. But had to be treated for mild exposure to the Sarin. Last report was that they had returned to duty already.
Thanks for the info txrg. I'm glad they're OK :o)
Joel Mowbray did a column a few months back about how the Left and people with Anti-Semetic or anti-Israel leanings have turrned the word "neo-con" into a codeword for "Jew", "Jewish" or people sympathetic to and supportive of Israel.
You see is used alot when the names of Paul Wolfowitz, Richard Perle and some others in the Pentagon are mentioned.
I have un Christian thoughts about missiles and Arafat meeting and becoming one....;)
Roger that, as per Admin Mod post to a thread asking question about same.
Yes, teh Galtedone is whining in his cups over at LP about how he's a legend in his own mind.
That he'll only come back if asked, blah blah blah.
He said that he's surprised he lasted here as long as he did.
Direct quote: "I discovered FR in the Summer of '97, attended the first meeting in Boston in the Spring of 1998, survived long enough to post an anti-war Right voice through-out the present crisis, and yet look what stories were too hot to handle: the torture/homoerotica scandal, which gave my good friend U-89 the boot, and the hysterics over an artillery shell that went off in the desert, injuring two US soldiers."
I am aware..It wasn't the original meaning...it is a lefty liberal who has seen the light after years of observing the destructive left.
Careful Mr. Galt. We're on to your other two nicknames on here.
ZOT is watching!
Kindly explain this statement, Mr. Galt...are you saying that a "standing army" is unconstitutional? Are you saying that basing US forces in other countries is unconstitutional?
Check out his response 641 to Meg's 640.
That's exactly what he's saying.
"That's exactly what he's saying."
But whatever you do...do NOT quote him on anything he says or hold him to any prior statements he may have said. LOL!
True.
Anything he's said previously seems to not mean anything after the next statement after this one.
Hmm..
Where have I seen a recently banned poster do that before?
*chuckle*
