Technically, you're right. But, here's my theory. Wherever they got this shell from there's a lot more. I think they just tapped into this stash and it's just the beginning of more to come. Once the bad guys realize that they have shells with sarin gas they'll figure out how to employ them more effectively.
In other words, this is just the beginning, and eventually the lamestream media will have to cover it.
Actually VX is not sarin.
VX IS the stuff of nightmares, sarin is pretty bad but not on the level of VX.
I will note this was a binary round.
I'm pretty sure this was announced, if it's the "trace detected" story I'm thinking of.

So they waited to have all tests done.

Sarin is not the same as VX. VX is a more dangerous, more modern nerve agent that isn't really a "gas" at all. It can be employed as an aerosol, though.

That's the whole point of the saying "a lie is halfway around the world before the truth gets its pants on."
They'll find some other way to spin it. Proof is that a reporter wanted to continue to pound away at the prison issue, rather than to deal with an attack against the soldiers that defend and fight for our freedoms (an attack perpetrated by a--dare I use the word--weapon of mass destruction).
They don't want to deal with it because it doesn't fit the media's agenda...bad things that hurt the President are acceptable to them...bad things that HELP the President are not. IMHO, it's too bad that bad things have to help ANYONE. It'd be great for the good things to help both sides...yeah, I know, novel concept. That is, of course, if the media would report it.
That is why the Left must be unmistakeably and decidedly defeated this November, and in all of the midterm elections.
