We should withhold the $2 BILLION a year we send to Cairo (a Jimmy Carter legacy that is apparantly unending) until they apologize.

That's what I think; this whole episode smacks of desperate and insane DUmmies infiltrating the army, getting into a position where they could stage this bs, all with the intent of undermining the entire effort of the War Against Terrorist Scum. Anyone who thinks there aren't Demonrats willing to do this is wrong and doesn't understand the mind of the enemy.
I wouldn't hold my breath for the retraction. The NYT wouldn't retract it, just as the AP is still running the photo and the claim of the guy who says that US solders tied him to a tree and sodomized him. They will not retract because they WANT it to be true; their world-view demands that it be true.
And, horribly, I expect that there will come some kind of a terrorist attack this Fall, thousands will die, and the Arabs will rejoice and say that we deserve it because of the humiliation we afforded a few of their people.
Meanwhile, Kerry (D-Hanoi) will continue attempting to turn everything he can into political fodder with which to attack Bush. Zogby is right ... the election is Kerry's to lose, and he is losing it. How can we know that? Look at the relentless attacks from the Lamestream press ... book after book for a few weeks, then politically biased hearings, now this. What's next? I expect the media will come up with pictures of Rumsfeld (photoshopped, of course) raping Iraqi boys. And, of course, they'll believe it.

CBS, hillary, and the people behind the leaks to the American press have a lot to answer for. Americans will die abroad because of CBS's treachery who would never have died otherwise. Blood will be on their hands. Mel Karmazin should be send to Guantanamo as an foreign agent saboteur. Scum!

By stirring up the locals to riot, Hackworth is once again shown to have the troops' best interest at heart. Hackworth brings to mind another very highly-decorated American officer--Benedict Arnold.

Media Schadenfreude and Media Shenanigans PING!
The day after a WorldNetDaily report revealed that photos circulating in the Middle East that depict GI's raping Iraqi women were fake and had originated from pornography sites, the U.S. Embassy in Cairo issued a statement calling on Arab news outlets to publish retractions. The embassy statement read, "We have done a thorough investigation of the origin of these photos and have conclusive evidence that they originated on a pornographic web site. They are clearly staged photos, done by actors, as the site itself states."
The Al Wafd newspaper published four photographs on the top of its front page that were alleged show American soldiers sexually abusing female prisoners in Iraq. Al Osboa and Al Mussawer published two of the same photos

As Tom Delay reportedly said, the left would rather win the 2004 election than win the war in Iraq.

The U.S. Embassy called the publication of these pornographic photos, with headlines alleging the involvement of U.S. soldiers, a "fundamental violation of journalistic integrity," and stated that their publication needlessly inflamed an already heated atmosphere.
IS there any "journalistic integrity" at ALL over there? Damn the Dems! I say it loud, and I MEAN it. Nobody in the dem party made any kind of fuss about this when it was first reported, of course THEN.....there were no pictures! Now pictures are out, the Dems raise holy hell, and the enemy follows right behind them, ready to blast us all! They use lies, fake pictures, whatever it takes. I am so sick of this crap! GET REAL!!!! This is totally insane!

Actually, it's been years since I read it but I still remember some things-enough to put up a good arguement with muslims about their religion since many of them have not read the bible. It gives me the home court advantage.
