I agree with the previous posters about a lack of quality "Simpsons" episodes. Nothing can compare to Seasons 3 through...I dunno, 10? The last few years have definitely been lacking.
For those of you that are uninitiated, check out "Futurama." That is a GREAT show. The first episode sucked, but after that it got really funny.
A society can be judged by noting what they hold to be of value. NOBODY, is worth those kind of bucks for a one night performance, and especially not for providing a TV cartoon voice. This article is a metaphor for the decadence our times.

I think its time to put this show out to pasture, but I think FOX is shooting for 20 seasons.
One good thing about the Simpsons is that the quality of the animation has really improved. In syndication the old episodes looked like they were drawn by 3 year olds.
I'm with you there....only I never found it funny.
Judge: Mr. Hutz, are you aware you're not wearing any pants?
Lionel Hutz: Uh, your Honor, can I call for one of those bad trial thingys?
Judge: You mean a mistrial?
Lionel Hutz: Yeah ... that's why you're the judge, and I am the law ... talkin' ... guy.
A million for a one night performance is even worse- decadence extraordinaire... unless of course I'm the producer makin' that kind of coin!
A million for a one-night performance displays the power of the concept of "duplication" in the business world.
Back when you could only get paid by people who actually showed up and sat through the performance, which you'd have to do again if you wanted to get paid again, things were different.
