The EU's new symbol of courage and conviction -- A WHITE FLAG.

my thoughts exactly-
i cannot believe that europe was once the
'torch' of civlization. it seems like now all they
do is live off tourism created by interest in their
now long-departed past.
in about 50 years, the europe will be where india is
right now.

The get out cowards. I'm sick of these weak-kneed cowards and their "elect Kerry" statements. Cut off ALL aid that we may send to them and see ya later cowards!

"If the conflict were to deteriorate and the GNR (national guard) did not have what it required to carry out its mission..."
This is not a statement of intent to withdraw. To appear adamantly inflexible on this would only feed and agitate the domestic opposition within Portugal. The statement is understandable under the circumstances.
Many, many thanks to the Portuguese serving in Iraq. May the Lord bless them, their families, and Portugal.

If the situation worsens, you send in more troops and firepower and you WIN! Why, what do we win?
And for that matter, when are you shipping out for combat duty?
