I'm glad it's not just me.
I hate it how they "use" him as a conservative. And I'm beginning to feel the same way about Joe Scarborough.

Michael Savage is saying Bush did badly tonight, some callers agree. He did do badly tonight. I don't know what channel most on this thread were watching, but I saw a president who was tired, defensive, and constantly searching for words.
At the risk of getting attacked by the angry crowd, I agree.
Obviously the press are a bunch of liberal screw worms, however, it was very painful to watch.
He seemed to be unfocused, lost, unprepared, and drifting on several occasions. Only the blind and deaf, or those with a political agenda could not see it, or would not admit it.
The problem here is when someone makes a comment or steps out of formation, in the slightest, and says something that does not fall into what the mob repeats over and over, we'll they are fair game. It's like waving an Israeli flag at an Ali Baba worship fest in downtown Baghdad. You'll get wolfpacked.

Our borders are being protected. Go into Canada or Mexico and try sneaking back in. Preferably while carrying some bags of powdered sugar and a weapon. LOL, you really need to keep up on US border news......looks like 500+ per day make it into the USA thru just 75 miles of our southern border
SELLS, Ariz. Each day, at least 1,500 illegal Mexican immigrants cross a makeshift border into southern Arizonas Tohono Oodham Indian Nation.
Tribal Police Chief Richard Saunders is responsible for the area the size of Connecticut, and in March alone his officers and federal Border Patrol (search) agents captured more than 16,000 illegal immigrants. But at least that many got through without being detected.
Illegal immigration isnt the only issue for Saunders small force, which also has to police the drug trade.
So far this year, nearly 20,000 pounds of marijuana and an unspecified amount of narcotics have been seized. Agents believe thats just a small fraction of whats getting across the border.
The tribe is currently spending half its federal money on border security, instead of on housing, roads and schools.
Crackdowns in other parts of Arizona, New Mexico and California have left this 75-mile border on Native American land wide open. The 69 police officers and few border agents just arent enough to stop the flow of people coming in.

Yes, I'll bet you $10, why not? Payable via paypal.
We need to set the rules. What poll will we use as the benchmark? What's a 'significant' rise? Spell out either and we'll negotitae the terms, fair?

Yes! The marine's sister went out of the way to say that her brother had told her about all the Iraqis coming up to him, thanking him for what they were doing for the country!
Did you hear King keep asking them "Who do you blame?"
To: StarFan
God Bless you for calling!!
ATTENTION FREEPERS: Please call the White House and let the President know how we feel. For all that he had done for this country, this is the least we can do to say thank you!!

I've heard Savage once and that was more than enough. The man's a screaming moron, who doesn't know whereof he speaks.
He blasted Condi and the president?
Savage is about as "Conservative" and J.F'ing Kerry is and not nearly as intelligent. Oh, and do bear in mind that I think that Kerry has the intelligence of an empty box;if that.
To: lonevoice
Savage thinks dramatic oratory is more important to the leadership of the nation than courage and integrity. Does Savage know about Ronald Reagan?

"I've never understood the oft repeated accolade of clinton being a great communicator. IMO he was and is incredibly verbose and boring." Me neither!....and I agree that he was and is verbose and boring!!... and untruthful!
A liar is always verbose and boring.
That sums up Bill Clinton.

Oh, you miss that charming, snake-oil salesman delivery of Slick Willie. I guess some people don't care if they are lied to as long as it's done well. Ewwww..quite the opposite! Clinton comes across as so dishonest and lacking in core convictions that I have to hit the mute button after hearing him for 30 seconds.
I just find it frustrating that Bush, being a man of conviction, who has excellent judgment, who is a good and decent man and is honest and forthright, isn't able to exude the confidence that he really has and articulate his thoughts better.

I sensed that the press was overwhelmed in the press conference. They will never admit it, but I think GWB controlled the discussion and when he brought everyone back to reality re: the WOT, the press had no come back. Probably the best assesment so far on the presses abismal performance.
To: Joe Hadenuf
He did not rehearse, and, knowing that his every word would make headlines, he paused and uh. . .ed a lot. But he didn't misspeak. He thinks his honesty and firmness will win him reelection. I hope it does.
