Jam 5:16 Confess [your] faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual
fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

On April 10th, 2003, the 1st Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, faced with the task of seizing the presidential palace in downtown Baghdad, ran headlong into what Lieutenant Colonel Oliver North called, the worst day of fighting for U.S. Marines. As the 1st Battalions chaplain, Lieutenant Carey Cash had the unique privilege of seeing firsthand, from the beginning of the war to the end, how God miraculously delivered, and even transformed, the lives of the men of the 1st Battalion.

Good interview...
With the heavy casualties of this past week I think Cash hit on one of the biggest orders needed on the supply chain to Iraq: "Prayers"
Send 'em up if ya got 'em!!

Yep...and at Easter Prayers around our full tables....and NO RPGs coming through our kitchens or living rooms....would be a good time to remember our soldiers, Marines, and all personnel
doing battle in the enemies back yard so U.S. citizens dont have to be 'collateral damage'...
Our soldiers who not only give life and limb to keep us free...but also rid the world of terrorists
and put the fear of the USA in those who might be tempted to follow in terrorist footsteps...making the cost of terrorism to great for them or their familes to bear...that they would forsake this way of dealing with their lot in life.
Thank you to our troops for keeping us safe...and to their familes...many of whom are in mourning at this holliday time...and thanks to The God of Abraham, Isaac & Jacob and to His Son...Jesus Christ who died to set us free and who keeps our troops safe on the battlefield..
Lord may you also please minister to those familes who lost loved ones, to surviving buddies
whose grief is great...give them your peace that they might keep up the good fight with even more aggressiveness then before.. and Lord also give to those severely wounded lying in hospital beds trying to cope with what has happend to them and their friends..your consoling peace and strength...and heal all their wounds swiftly and guard their hearts and minds...
In Jesus' precious name...amen

IT'S THE SOLDIER
It's the soldier, not the reporter
Who has given us freedom of the

It's the soldier, not the poet,
Who has given us freedom of
SPEECH.
It's the soldier, not the campus
ORGANIZER,
Who has given us the freedom to
DEMONSTRATE
It's the soldier, not the lawyer,
Who has given us the right to a
FAIR TRIAL.
It's the soldier who salutes the flag,
Serves under the flag
And whose coffin is draped by the flag,
Who gives the protester the right to burn the flag.

US Marines pray over a dead brother in Fallujah, Iraq.
Bold enough to kill the wicked, merciful enough to not delight in it, humble enough to openly kneel in prayer. Thank you God for sending us men such as these.

But we have to remember that now, more than ever, we need to pray for those men. This is so true. Sometimes it seems that when things have clamed down we get less fervent in our prayers. We need to keep our soldiers "prayed up" for what is to come.
To: Happy2BMe
CASH: Let's pray. Heavenly Father, You promised us that you are a God who is able to deliver us. Lord, so often when the events of our world become dark, we fail to remember that truth. I would pray right now, a special anointing on our men and women in Iraq, who are on the front lines and witnessing death and destruction, and witnessing a world in upheaval, that they would know beyond a shadow of a doubt, as we speak, the awesome power and presence of Almighty God. I pray, oh Lord, that this time would be a time in their life that, if they haven't, they would draw closer to the heart of Jesus Christ. And that you would raise up a nation of prayer warriors to intercede every day on their behalf. To go to the throne room so that we might lift these men up, and they would accomplish their just cause, and they would be protected and shielded, and ultimately that they would know the saving love of their Savior and Lord Jesus Christ. We commit them unto your care and keeping in Jesus' name, amen. Amen Brother Cash. Amen to every word.

David saw the whole thing out of his office window. God gave him the message that he poured out his Spirit upon our servicemen during Desert Storm.
But then our nation just went right back into the spirit of Jezebel - abortions, homosexuality, pornography, divorce, pedphelia and all the sins of Sodom.
We will either repent as a nation of perish.

We need to be praying non-stop for our military in Iraq. These young warriors are depending on us.

One of our patients is a military wife. Her husband is still in Iraq. I asked her, this past week, to thank her husband for us and that we're all praying for him and all of the other brave soldiers. Bless her heart, she almost started crying, thanked me, and asked that we also remember the families in our prayers. I told her it was already a done deal. She said she would be sure to tell him that there are people over here who remember them in our prayers.

Those men will NEVER be the same.

Yes, I heard David W's sermon and it was very ominous ( I don't even know if that is the proper word to use ). I agree with your post 100%.
To: McGavin999
These young warriors are depending on us. If ONLY we could fully fathom the complete truth of that. For those that are frustrated that they cannot do more regarding the situation in Iraq, I would recommend prayer. It is truly the most powerful weapon that these soldiers will ever be equipped with.
