One time I had a nurse wake me from a sound sleep, and ask me if I needed a sleeping pill! What is wrong with that statement???!

LOL .. I had one that woke me up just to tell me I need to rest more

They couldn't understand when I threw a hissy fit to go home

I haven't had much time to stop at the Dose and didn't know you were in the hospital .. glad to hear you are doing better

I feel your pain .. my oldest is 11

What is even more painful .. is knowing I have 2 more girls to go throw this age ... groan

I worked a show with Smiley Burnett and Tex Ritter back in the mid sixties.

Smiley and Tex Ritter were working a tour. They were playing Dayton. The band for the show(Johnny Paycheck's) failed to show for rehearsal. So the promoter called me to get as much of my band as I could find on an hours notice and come play.

I did about 15 minuts to open the show and then brought Smiley on. After he did a couple of western songs Smiley went into his stand up routine. He asked the audience is they had ever seen him in a movie with Gene Autry. Every hand went up. Then he asked if they had ever seen him in a movie with Roy Rodgers and every hand went up. The then asked if they had seen him in movies with Tex Ritter and again the hands went up. Finally he asked for those who had seen him in movies with Johnny Mac Brown. Again hands went up. Smiley said. "Thats Funny... I never made any movies with Johnny Mac Brown."

I opened the show with my line. My bass player was a big tall and muscular guy. I told the audience that Tex Ritter would be wearing his famous six shooters. I can tell you he is good with them. I said. We played Indianapolis last night and Tex had to use them to protect me from the bass player. You see (here I pointed at the bass player) his girl friend and my girl friend showed up at the theatre last night..... turned out it was the same woman.

I hate it when that happens.

No patience to homeschool? WHO DOES?! I invest in duct tape. And a padded cell. lol...actually, it's a learned trait and I'm so thankful I took the step

I had to take advance duct tape training to work in my current postition for Jr.High.

Actually what happen was the admin handed out rolls of duct tape after 9-11 for us to use in the event that we came under chemical attack. They also informs us that if we needed to use them on a few of the students it was okay with them.

After Kerry told the Pope to stuff it.

Are you serious? This is the first that I have heard of this. Did it get mentioned on the alphabet news stations?

Remember the kid who yawned during the President's speech; the scene was shown on Letterman this week?

The kid and his dad were just on Fox and Friends. The kid said he'd been so excited to meet the president he was up till 2:30 the night before, and on stage he had to go the the bathroom so bad he didn't think he was going to make it. He also said he didn't think he was on TV. The father siad he was mortified.

Here's the best part--the President wrote the kid a letter! It said something along the lines of, "It was hot in that room and the speech was long. I understand why you were restless. Thank you for supporting my campaign."

Isn't that wonderful??? A President who can laugh at himself.

KERRY TELLS VATICAN TO BUTT OUT
New York Post ^ | 3/29/04 | VINCENT MORRIS

Posted on 03/29/2004 3:50:11 AM EST by kattracks

March 29, 2004 -- WASHINGTON - John Kerry says he's not worried over rumbling in the Catholic Church that his political positions are out of step with its teachings.
Despite positions on abortion and fetus-protection laws that oppose the church's, Kerry insists his faith will not be a campaign issue.

"I don't tell church officials what to do and church officials shouldn't tell American politicians what to do in the context of our public life," Kerry tells Time magazine.

Now THAT'S going to get him some points with the Catholic leaders! (sarcasm, off)

I don't remember JFK (the 35th Pres)telling the Pope to MYOB either. But then again I was a bit young to be involved in politics.

He is just such a hypocritical jerk in soooo many ways! I just hope people will begin to see it, and soon.

Such a contrast with our wonderful President . . . I hope those who "hate" President Bush will come to their senses and see where kerry would lead our country--or more likely, where he would let our country go.

Yeah, so was I. I don't think I was even a twinkle in my Daddy's eye when Kennedy was President. :-)

Well, I was old enough to know what the word assinate meant the day Kennedy was killed. But I'm still only 29.

Why would anyone vote for them when they see danger where there is none, but do not see it when it is in front of their faces?
