For many blacks, gay fight isn't theirs - Civil rights analogy is widely discounted.

How many "life partners" has each one of them had/have?

I believe there are homosexuals who are monogamous. I believe they are far and few between, but they DO exist. And there are any number of heterosexuals who are equally promiscuous.

But monogamy with a person of the same sex is still an abomination. You can have a relationship with a person of the same sex, maybe even love him or her. But if that affection crosses the line into sex, you are little better than a pervert who has mistaken an emotional bond for a physical one. Your physical relationship does not serve the same purpose a heterosexual one does. The latter is breeding behavior; the former is merely the rutting of a confused animal.

There are too many homosexual and lesbian social workers in the government. There will always be homosexual adoption.

This could be an issue which frees more than a few African-Americans from the Democratic Party plantation.

When homosexuals can HISTORICALLY, in THIS COUNTRY prove that they have been made to:

1. Sit at the back of the bus.

2. Drink from "Homosexual Only" water fountains and use said restroom facilities.

3. Eat at "Homosexual Only" lunch counters and restaurants.

4. Enter through the back entrances of hotels.

5. Denied entrance at some restaurants.

6. Segregated from "Heterosexual" public schools.

7. Have vicious dogs sicced on them for demanding their basic rights.

8. Denied the right to vote.

9. Have high-pressure fire hoses turned on them for demanding their basic rights.

10. Denied employment or housing because it was OBVIOUS that they were homosexual.

... THEN they can tell me, as a black woman, that they have something in common with those in my community. Those in the past paved the way in this country, historically have suffered, bled and some died, many went through hardships that I couldn't imagine so that myself and my children wouldn't have to go through what they went through. To have their efforts denigrated, maligned and sullied by a group of people whose only distinction is who they CHOOSE to have sex with is DISGUSTING AND INSULTING! THAT'S WHY MANY BLACKS (despite all the sirens and pitchmen [a la Cynthia Tucker and others] in our community trying to browbeat, guilt-trip and otherwise "convince" us otherwise) REJECT THIS COMPARISON!
