They had a deadline today to submit the application and a tape, but if you missed it, don't worry, you can still go to the open casting call, no tape needed, only the filled out application.
Basic info on becoming a contestant on Apprentice 2
DOWNLOAD APPLICATION (in .pdf -- need Acrobat Reader) There must be some budding FReeper entrepreneurs or future corporate executives who may be interested.
I think it would be terrific if one of our FReepers would actually get on Apprentice 2 -- we could all root for him or her.
CA Freepers, NOTE: Los Angeles, CA casting call is this Saturday, March 13.

maybe they can find some contestants that didn't lie this time...there is no way that some of those people were who they claimed to be.....the top real estate producer in a state, etc.

I know what you mean. No real estate person would be so clueless about renting an apartment. One would think they would do some background investigation on them. Also one would think they could find better quality people -- after all they are competing to actually head one of Trump's companies. I wonder what is he going to do with the winner of this contest. I don't think any of them are even remotely close to being up to such a job.
Maybe Trump will buy a lemonade stand, call it "Trump's Lemonade Stand Company" and let the winner run that -- I don't see how he could entrust any of his real companies to any of these people.

I just looked at your profile and you say you are also in Burbank -- why don't you mosey on over to NBC this Saturday -- you may be the most qualified contestant and what have you got to lose?

I hear the winner gets a 1 year contract at $ 200k to work for Donald Trump.
I could only guess that the loser got a 2 year contact to work for Donald Trump.

Some of them HAD to be setups, especially for a new show just starting.
I mean, to be under 25 and boast of being, like you say, "top real estate producer in a state", etc. Yeah right, pal!

I don't know. That Bill is a self made millionaire who basically started his cigar company out of his house. He is pretty sharp and isn't a wuss when it comes to telling people the way it is; man or woman. The thing I like about him is that he is tough with all, but never accuses or tells someone they are wrong. He will tell you he disagrees, but not in a rude way. I really liked the way he handled Erica a few weeks ago and the real estate gal this week. He is innovative.

And remember the first guy that got booted. Had an MD and MBA....
I still crack up over that one. I mean, yes, that is impressive that someone spent all that time to earn those degrees, etc, but what on earth are they doing appearing on a show?
That guy was the poster child for the FastCompany nineties where all you had to do was get an MBA, sign some huge bonus and retire in 10 years. Talent? What talent? I have an MBA!

I still think SAM should come back and duel the final two contestants...haha...
To: BurbankKarl
Yeah Sam is probably a genius, but boy is he different. I'm sure he will be very successful and he is. He is just pretty much a lone ranger with a partner. I don't think he could lead a bunch of people.
Saw him on an interview on Fox. Came across as real and very funny. Just not Sr. Exec material. He was entertaining. I think that is the best reality show on TV. People can really learn alot on this show.

What I find funny is some of Trump's questionable judgment about firing some of the people.
He came up with lame excuses in many cases and real dimwits were allowed to stay. he made some mistakes.

To: BurbankKarl
LOL!
And out of all the people they still don't seem to find some real good ones.
I told you, you should have gone. ;)

My best friend and old boos Jamie has been sending me shots of the lines all day in Burbank. She is part of the last group of 50 to go in today which is not for another 2 hours. She has been there 9 already.

Thanks for the update!
And this is just in LA.
They have open casting calls in other cities, I think in some 8-10, I didn't count them. Then, in addition, people could send in a tape of themselves until March 11.
Obviously there are a large number of applicants.
But I am really not impressed by any of the ones on the current Apprentice. It makes you wonder how they pick them.
I hope your friend makes it -- we can all root for her on the next Apprentice. :)
