Stallions can be very vicious...We had a Shetland and kept (rented a stall for) a Strawberry Roan, could not turn your back on them.

My mother is from there, Port-of-Spain specifically. Everything in my house is Trini except the food which my father drew line at because there's no such thing as curry italian meatballs.
The muslims have been trying to take over Trinidad for years. Right now, Abu Bakr (sp?) is on trial but that's not stopping his followers. Trinidad is now on the Al Queda watch list because of the heavy influx of Pakistanis. I know things will be okay since someone is broadcasting Rush Limbaugh via a pirate radio station *LOL*

The most striking thing about Trinidad, to me, was the forwardness of people about their faith. The Christians were unmistakable. The Hindus were obvious, with the prayer flags and pictures of different gods. It's such a prominent issue in their society.
I didn't encounter any Muslims on a conversational basis. They just yelled at us and waved machetes. But I don't imagine that they mingle socially either.

The muslims don't socially mingle, not the religious ones anyway. If a muslim goes to carnival or anything, then that is a complete MINO. After a few glasses of the demon rum resistance to assimilation is utterly futile anyway. Christians and Hindus are more likely to socially mix, hang out together, etc.
