Look at the lighter alluvium on the "up" side of the rocks due to [smaller particles in a higher center-stream area that didn't get washed away?]. The water flow was up.

I don't think we know the attitude of camera and surface this represents...at least I do not know. But "up" is a relative term until we know "which end IS up".

On the other hand, I see little deltas all over this set of pictures. The first time I've been willing to say that it really does look like something other than melted metiorite or trash blown out of the surface crust had been flowing and forming a mini-topography on Mars.

Oh, yeah, the little stalagtite (mite?) thingies that appear to have 'grown' around existing structure suggest minerals suspended in H2O (or something). I'm still wondering at the stemmed nodule whatsiz' that look like they're peeping out of hidey-holes.
