I signed with the following comments:
"The State Attorney General of California should immediately be directed by the Governor to prefer criminal charges against the Mayor of San Fransisco and any other city officials complicit in the issuance of these illegal marriage licenses. There is a break down in the rule of law going on in California, in conjunction with a break down in morality...which morality is the very basis for all of our laws. John Adams, one of the principle architects of our constitution said it best with these words: "We have no government armed with power capable of contending with human passions unbridled by morality and religion. Avarice, ambition, revenge, or gallantry, would break the strongest cords of our Constitution as a whale goes through a net. Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate for the government of any other."- John Adams, Oct. 11, 1798. It is just as true today."

Wrong. My state is next. New Mexico is in the news today. Clerk took it on her own to start issuing licenses.

From supreme court justice, to mayor, to clerk. What next? Will the dog catcher start issuing licenses in Podunk?

I hope there is a platform fight on this issue at the DEMs convention in Boston this summer.

NOT a good idea.

Leftists love to get arrested for "the cause."

It allows them to think they're heroic, and to compare themselves to people who got arrested in genuinely just causes, such as those who sat down at whites-only lunch counters in the '60s.

WE know there's no valid relationship between the civil rights movement of the sixties -- which was directed against racial discrimination -- and the attempts by radical homosexuals to force their sick 'lifestyle' down our throats.

But the LEFT is still trying to equate the two, as one noble cause against 'discrimination.' Arresting Newsom would only feed into the image they're trying to create.

Bump

Personally, I'm ready to sign the petition to recall Attorney General Bill Lockyer for being MIA. As Tom McClintock rightly pointed out on the radio two days ago, citizen groups should not be the ones having to defend the state law.

With all due respect, I say NO!!

Just today, Rush said to leave them alone and let them make fools of themselves. Let the Rat mayor bury himself. THIS ENTIRE FIASCO IS CAUSING RATS TO RUN FOR THE EXITS! IT'S MAKING THEM ALL LOOK LIKE FOOLS! Boxer and Feinstein are dying as this drags on and makes them look worse and worse!

It just points out how absurd this issue has become!

I think that Newsom should incur some civil liability for the expensive mess that this will be to clean up. He is clearly acting outside the scope of his jurisdiction. I think that fifty million or so should pay for his fifteen minutes of fame.
