FYI, the BEST ESTIMATE that i've seen indicates that about 12-13% of the CSA military forces were "persons of colour".
in the case of KY, there was evidently even a greater percentage of "coloured" servicemembers as almost 22% of the CSA veterans pensions from KY were paid to black Confederate veterans!

Now I know where demand for French perfumes came from. Documentation please for your tongue-in-cheek post.

If what you describe is true, it sounds as if they were simply encouraged and/or facilitated to procreate and in doing so even afforded some luxuries. I also have to question the statistical validity of a study that attempts to draw a correlation between a sporting event and success in the bedroom simply for want of a sufficient sample and for the high liklihood that the causal correlation being observed is instead caused by a third unaccounted factor if not wholly extraneous and chance in itself. There is also the lack of sources, of course.

Good post.

This may require further data review. I will take this concept of yours to my moderated research and discussion group to view their research, and obtain a final answer. Have fun! Transparent data is the best way to withstand peer review.

Southern independence was very much about the preservation of slavery as an underpinning of the Southern economy. If you read the CSA Constitution you will notice that it is very similar to the US Constitution, but adds specific protections for slavery. If you read the contemporary speeches of the secessionist and CSA leaders, you will find that preservation of the Southern way of life, including the continuance of slavery, was very much on their minds.

A classic non sequitur. You are in serious need of statistical training.
