OK, I should point out that those two pics were
digitally constructed for illustration purposes only, from this
normal looking pic. I
cannot do that anti-crosseyed thing! LOL!
Crossing one eye only is easy. When you see the two images of what you're looking at split apart, simply look at the right or left image as you continue crossing your eyes. One eye will always be staring straight ahead as you do this.

I did. Eyes about ten inches from screen (17" monitor, 1280x1024), with my hand held between my eyes and the monitor in lieu of paper card. Merged them on the white thing in the middle, no problem.
