Great reply #171 garandgal.
You can bet that a Kerry would never propose something as outlined in your reply #171.

I do declare that if JFK were running today - he would be mistaken for a republican! If Hubert Humphrey -- the Liberal's Liberal -- was running today, the GOP would reject him for being "TOO conservative -- TOO radical-right-wing."
Seriously.
Look up some of the stuff he said about the Second Amendment.

I'm sorry. I read what you wrote and cannot find anything to argue with. You have proposed a conservative solution to a big problem.
To: LaurieB
Staying away from the polls is no answer either. Wrong.
As long as they can be confident in "owning" our votes regardless of how much they betray our principles, nothing will change -- except for the worse.
They have GOT to learn that they do not "own" our votes. They have GOT to learn that they must earn our votes.
It is really that simple.

You noticed that too?
I gotta remember to put on the hipwaders and grab the shovel when I slog through certain quarters here lately.
Sad...

I KNOW that...I'm just waiting for someone else to...anyone??? Bush has proposed Medical savings accounts but the problem is the Senate. With a 51-49 majority it's tough to get through and would not see the light of day with a demo President as some of these "blue blood" conservatives on this thread are drooling over.

The president is in danger because he is blurring the line between the parties too well. It used to be a joke, but I think we've actually come to the place where, "no matter who you vote for, the politicians always win."
So, I'm saving my vote.
Maybe if enough people save their votes, we'll get some genuine statesmen deciding to run for office.

Who?
To: 11B3
Rove is politically out of touch and should not be the one giving the president advice any longer What is chilling is the fear that Rove isn't so much "giving the president advice", but rather directing the president.
I honestly believe, based on what I've observed in the various media, that Bush won't move an inch in any direction without an OK from Rove.
If I knew I was voting for "President Rove", I would have saved my vote four years ago. And no way am I going to give him my next vote.

If Hubert Humphrey -- the Liberal's Liberal -- was running today, the GOP would reject him for being "TOO conservative -- TOO radical-right-wing." Yeah right, Humphrey would really propose to privatize Social Security or propose Medical savings accounts.
Uh, Don, todays demo party is not Humphrey's demo party. They have been taken over by the leftists such as Kerry.
How about living in 2004 and not 1960.

It's time to lighten up!
Time for a little humor!
What do you get when you combine the President's chief advisor, and the leader of Russia?
You get "Roveputin"!
Any decent Photoshoppers out there who can doctor up a picture of the new "Mad Monk"?

What in the world do you call someone afraid of nerds? Hell I'll bet 98 pound weaklings kick sand in his face.

Good for you. Now, how many more times are you going to declare your intentions? Oh, probably at least as many times as you insult them.
If you don't like what I say, and if you think I'm really of no account, and the non-voters won't make a whit of difference, why don't you find something better to do with your time than sit here and taunt like a schoolyard misfit?
Do you have a job? (Or is this your job? "Steering" the discussions?)

There you go again, attributing words to me that I never said, even going so far as to put them in quotation marks.
You are evidently delusional. For real.
