We still miss him, but he lives on in freeway signs across the state.
If we find the Remnants of an Ancient Interstellar Civilization---It will STILL BE "Rocks & Dust."
There will ALWAYS be "LUDDITES" & Nihilists amoung us who Automatically Reject ANY "evidence" hinting that there MAY BE "Others!"
The BEST of us are willing to "Keep an Open Mind,"--& EXPLORE for "Signs of" "Others!"
The ASSUMPTION THAT "Earthlife" is "Unique" is Arrogant & Ignorant.
Most of us who Think about "Such Things" believe that we will--one Day--encounter our Fellow Denizens of our Immediate Universe.
WHAT FUN!!
Doc
Ahh, what possible connection to what I posted does this have? Are you saying that craters, rocks and dust are evidnece of an interstellar civilization? Are you saying that anyone who objects to the fruits of their labor being plundered by the government and the resultant loot being squandered on NASA is a luddite? Since every cent that NASA spends on spce exploration is a cent that was taken fom whoever earned it, just how much do you think the limit should be on taking to fuel these fantasies? Government at all levels takes about 40% - 50% of the GDP now. Where do you thik the limit should be set 60%, 70%, 90%? 100% and everyone turn their total output over to the bureaucrats and take what is allocated back to them (Kind of like Cuba but worse)? I'd really like to know.
