Distressing Development in Terri's Case

"Heavenly Father, we return to give You thanks for the Truth of Your Word ... "If God be for us, who can be against us?" We continue to plead the cause of this mother's child before the Throne of Grace, O Lord, because she is an innocent condemned to death if man would have his way. Although the courts are aligned against her, and laws are used to imprison her, yet she lives because of Your grace and mercy. [!!]

Sustain her unto the day of her release from captivity, back into the love and care of the family who loves her so. In the Name of Jesus, I pray, Amen ..." -- Amen.

This is indeed so distressing. Not only for Terri . . . but for what it says about our present culture.

Oh, Lord God, May the sheer awfulness of this, the lack of even a modicum of care, love or concern for a brain-damaged wife and her family, be obvious to ALL who see and hear of this! I pray that you would make this filing so abhorrent that the courts, the judges, the lawyers, their assistants, all onlookers, the media, Larry King, Rush Limbaugh, and others, those who have taken care of Terri in the past and present, the governor, the legislature, and anyone else with any power in this . . . act bring this unbelievable atrocity against Terri to an end. Please bring witnesses out who will testify on Terri's behalf -- and may they finally be heard.

May any one who has the power to do any good on Terri's behalf, please do it. May Your angels continue to guard and protect this innocent, beautiful woman. Lord, we don't entirely understand Your wonderful, awesome ways. We know this is a spiritual battle and we call on Your strength to fight it. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Terri starts out apparently asleep. A doctor wakes her to start his tests.

Doctor: Terri. Open your eyes up...

Terri: (Startled at hearing her name. She starts moving her mouth and fluttering her eyes, like a person who is just waking up)

Doctor: Open your eyes, Terri open your eyes

Terri: (slowly at first, Terri struggles to open her eyes, then turns toward the doctor, and opens her eyes a normal amount)

Doctor: There you go, good.

Terri: (then, either to show off(?) or wanting to perform well, she leans further forward toward the doctor, looks straight at him and opens her eyes as WIDE AS SHE CAN. Note the WRINKLES ACROSS HER FOREHEAD [!!!] caused by her also RAISING HER EYEBROWS as high as possible )

Doctor: [now obviously impressed] GOOD!! GOOD JOB! GOOD JOB YOUNG LADY! Good Job.

Thank you, FLE, for your work in putting that sequence together for all to see. It doesn't get any clearer than that. As if that video of Terri responding to her mother did not show that Terri is not PVS (it convinced a physician I know). May God bless all these efforts to effect Terri's release.

This is absolutely disgusting.....I haven't read the entire document...as I don't have time right now, need to get ready for work, but from the original posting (with inserted questions), I'm just appalled.

Cyn, I tried to go into the Pinellas County site, to see what's going on, but can't. Here's what it says (very interesting, ain't it?).

What can be done to contest this"Petition to Modify Visitation Rules" BEFORE it is approved, or after, before anything happens to Terri?

There's nothing we can do but continue to contact Jeb Bush who has learned of the Petition. We are still waiting for the 2nd DCA to rule on Jeb's Appeal to collect evidence, etc.

By the way, I found an old newsclipping. Jeb placed a conservative on Florida's Supreme Court I think last year. THAT SHOULD HELP if this gets to the Fla Supremes again.

Hi cyn, blessings and thanks for the ping. A little righteous anger is so good for the soul.

If I may, some thoughts of encouragement?

If we can take our eyes off of the waves and the storm and back on Jesus, peace will be a little easier to find. (hard for all of us I know)

We don't need celebrities, newsmen, etc., we have all we need in Christ. He does tend to get jealous when we trust in man.

We don't need cameras, video or audio recordings because HE SEES.

This is spiritual indeed, our weapons are not carnal, it's all or nothing with God.

That being said, I get excited when I read posts from Canadian Outrage. Maybe making some noise down there in Florida wouldn't be such a bad idea. God has put the burden on his people, we are the ones He is calling on to act.

Amen. I agree there is NO doubt that this battle must be won in the Spirit FIRST. THEN, we must do whatever is in the power of our hands to do. If that means getting very vocal = so be it!!

I'm not seeing anything referring to the motion filed, discussed in this article.....my post, immediately prior to this one, shows all documents filed in the Schiavo v. Bush case for the past month. Any probate cases are not accessible for free by the public...you must pay to subscribe for access to those records.

I've not seen it in quite that format, but I believe 1 or 2 might be the filings done by Gordon Watts -- New Schiavo suit tries untested approaches.

I thank God for Gordon and others like him, who are doing all they can for Terri. May God bless our efforts to do good for her, and may He give us wisdom to see what more we can do. He knows how our hearts grieve at this evil and how we cry out for relief for Terri, her family, and us all.
