Wonder when that train went off the tracks... that 'first time' experience with Justim must have a been a loo-loo.

I'm tempted, but I won't go there. LOL
The poor girl's problems are deeper than a Timberlake fiasco or the realization by many that her "talent" was over-sold.

Think you're right. I never hear her really talk about her family too much, or is it me??? Oh well...

> The blond Ivory Girl smile and blue eyes of Tiger Woods' future wife no doubt raised the ire of many who wondered why such a powerful role model to black youth couldn't embrace his own race. <
Shows you how dumb the writer is: Tiger is multi-racial himself, more Thai than black, since Earl (his father) has both American Indian and (I believe) Caucasian blood in his veins.

I dated a woman who was half black. We didn't get any grief here in CT or back home in Il when I went to visit the folks. However, we took a trip to Germany and should have seen the stares I got there. I look very German. It was like I was being accused of heresy.
Give Boris a call, maybe he has a few tips for you.

proved Boris Becker fathered her child.

"With Kobe Bryant, why isn't the history of his "alleged" victim allowed to be considered? Maybe because it destroys the notion that SOME white women are as pure as snow as SOME white men have propped them up to be."Whoa Sister -- Have you been watching too many Spike Lee movies, or what??
Regarding the original issue addressed at the beginning of this thread, know this much -- tribalism and elitism is NOT exclusive to the US. It has been in existance almost since Adam and Eve, and everywhere since, whether it's North vs, South; East vs. West; OR White vs. Whiter; Black vs. Blacker; Rich vs. Poor...
My own grandmother from Naples on my father's side was appalled at the thought of her son marrying a Sicilian (southern Italian).

Bravo. I am married to a Jamaican woman and her take has always been that in Jamaica there are only two kinds of people: Jamaicans and tourists. Jamaicans come in all shades... West Indian, Black, Chinese, German, Jewish, Indian (India), English, Irish, et cetera. However, they are not (---)-Jamaican. They are JAMAICANS, period. She has problems with American Blacks because she says they whine too much (not all, of course)... Her feelings largely reflect my own. Though MOST of my ancestors came from the U.K. (some came on the first boat over, Mayflower; the rest came later, I'm sure), I am a NATIVE American, born and bred for many generations. At the same time, I welcome non-NATIVE Americans of ALL shades and hues to the country we share and love like no other. All I ask is that we all meld together to become ONE PEOPLE. United. Forget the hyphens. Learn what we can from the past then let it go. Honor and uphold our Constitution, fight tooth and nail to ensure that it is upheld as the Supreme law of the land and continues to always GUARANTEE (but not GRANT) our liberties as Americans, native and by-choice.
Tell your parents, Welcome to the United States... and thanks for your post.

I could be perfectly happy with mixed-race grandkids but I can't stomach the thought of having Carrot Top marry my daughter and having grandkids that look like him.
Am I a "hairist"?

Yes, I live in South Carolina. I have black fellas talking to me all the time about white girls, but when I start talking about black girls they get hot. What is good for the goose is good for the gander.

My mom is from Trinidad and Tobago. Yeah my mom had those same problems with the whining. I read Dinesh D'Souza's book What's So Great About America and he talks about the chief benefit of being immigrant is that you come in with 'outside enthusiasm'. My parents were together for 35 years. My dad had your attitude which was responsible for my mom staying here. I agree with you about unifying. I wish we could have 9-11 unity all the time.
