Child marriage is already a reality in other countries.

The danger is that homosexuals are pushing for American recognition of foreign same sex marriages; persons trying to immigrate to the US want to bring their "spouse" over.

Another issue is that homosexuals said that their actions would be between "consenting adults". The difference in age of consent for homosexual and heterosexuals was struck down the same day that sodomy laws were ruled unconstitutional. This defined the age of consent downward for homosexual acts (below age 18, aka ADULTS). Even molestation cases between an adult and a minor have been revisited in light of "Romeo & Juliet" (here "Romeo & Romeo") laws that permit adults to have sex with persons below the age of consent "if they are within a few years of each other".

Between "sex positive" teaching advocates encouraging sex at all ages (with age appropriate partners of either gender) and stores like Abecrombie and Finch selling thongs that say "Wink Wink" on them to pre-teens (and parents BUYING them), there is much to be concerned about.

Ask the Imam also says that a pre-pubescent girl who is married can terminate the marriage when she turns 12.

Another question fills in the details that there is no prerequsite for a man to have sex with his wife, regardless of her age.

As I understand it, this website would be legal in the US, as long as they don't post images of actual children being molested. (Digitally-generated images of children, or actual adults pretending to be children are fine.)

There's something wrong with society when this is accepted.

Although I suspect Mr. Hoath would have been acquitted in the US, at least in most jurisdictions.

The Middletown, N.Y., school board knew something was up between Superintendent of Schools Robert Sigler and a 15-year-old male high-school student he's accused of molesting, according to a report in the local newspaper.

"Apart from the sexual stuff, the school board knew about the kid for a year," Scali said. "It's been the topic of conversation around the school for at least a year.

"He [Sigler] has taken the kid out of [class] 30 or 40 times this year in the high school alone.

"The school board knew what was going on, and they have to answer some questions," Scali told the Times Herald-Record. "Like how did they allow this obsessive relationship? They established an atmosphere for that superintendent to let him get away with it."

Meanwhile, school district officials are not talking – at least not on the record.

I, unfortunately, cannot seem to find his quote at his trial:
"I still don't see what was so wrong about it. It was a loving relationship.." or words to that effect that Micheal Jackson seemed to echo in his "Beautiful thing" statment about sleeping with children.
And he's done this sort of thing before:

It is a miracle you got that much info. My mother was molested by her grandfather, she almost won't even admit to that and her life has been miserably shaped by that occurence and she won't speak of it. Pedophilia is so destructive to children, but the left continues to have its sites set on those "evil" homeschoolers or those "evil" spankers.

This guy was her best friend's father.
And I still don't know WHY she has his current mailing address and phone number.
I know he really messed her mind up.

I don't know if promoting pedophilia would necessarily be protected by the 1st amendment, as it involves incitement to imminent lawless action. It would be like the Klan having a big rally where the speaker directs people to a lynching, or any meeting where the speaker encourages people to go out and commit a violent crime.

I was nearly messed with when I was 12 by a cousin who was 16. I fought the peice of crap off and made sure we were never alone anyplace in their house again that night!

The missus, unfortunately, has some odd ideas about what is a proper relationship with friends and what isn't due to this.
Trying to discuss things with her, as one should in a marraige simply because you can't be married and not speak to your spouse, is near impossible at times due to her views.
It's hard to live with even as a spouse to a molestation victim.
It really does have an effect, despite what some say.
It effects the mind, heart, and soul for the rest of their lives.
Colors every relationship they have, and makes normal life difficult.
Heck, there are things she'll let other say and do, that she shouldn't, but won't let me say or do.
(Minor stuff, like my hand on her shoulder, looking me in the eye when speaking to me. Some major things, but those are being dealt with one at a time.)
Sometimes she acts afraid of me, as if I'm the creep that did that to her.
Every time I hear one of these guys speak and claim that their activities don't harm anyone, I snort, and then yell "BS!" at the speakers.
I should know that it has a lasting effect, I just need to look at the missus and how she reacts to things.
(I probably should collude with some psychologist types and write something about this. Sort of a refutation paper against the people who claim that they aren't hurting anyone. But, I don't think in 'term paper doctoreese' that such papers are usually written in.)
