"People are people all over the world, by making rash generalizations about them, it makes it much easier not to view them as people like you and I, with families and friends and hopes and dreams."
I would say that the people of France, with the contempt that they show for Americans, reap what they sow...
Of course they have with families and friends and hopes and dreams. And of course it's sad that anyone suffer at the hands of terrorists, but that doesn't mean the French are not low-life. I would ask how many of our boys or girls died in Iraq because the French sided with Saddam?
I have a close friend from Paris, and a few years ago we hosted an exchange student from France. Both were embarrassed by there countrymen.

129 French Passengers
6 Egyptian Passengers
Plane headed back to France
Tony Blair vacationing in the same area and within miles of where it took off
Tony Blair is to meet with a Egyptian Official
Weather Clear at time of Crash
No Distress call from the plane
Terrorists are trying to hijack planes again
The area is has western influence.
Is it possible that a terrorist was on board and decided to hijack it and maybe he was trying to force the flight crew to turn it around to crash into the resort that Blair is staying in, but the crew decided to just take it down into the Red Sea instead. I think anyone that does not think the terrorists would kill French people so they could achieve their goals is sadly wrong. They don't care who they kill and on a daily this is proven.

I saw people quoted as saying it might have been fog... but all of the weather reports don't say anything.... visibility 10KM!

I have a close friend from Paris, and a few years ago we hosted an exchange student from France. Both were embarrassed by there countrymen.Don't forget, though, that there are some in the U.S. who go to France saying the same thing about their countrymen. Some even choose to stay in France...too bad all of them don't.

I would say that the people of France, with the contempt that they show for Americans, reap what they sow... Wow, it sure is great to meet you Mr. Jesus Christ, so glad that you can pass blanket judgement on 140 people that you KNOW NOTHING ABOUT and condemn them to their death.
Are you for real? Do you think? Have you travelled, do you have a passport, do you know any French people?
Such a fine christian you are, condemning 140 strangers to their death, wow, does that make you feel powerful?
To: seamole
Like I said, visibility was at least 10 K! Thats not too much fog. Engine failure? something else?

Early reports said fog, going off of what was posted. Which shows the folly of trying to pin this on terrorists while we are all 3000 plus miles away. We don't know the facts yet, it may take weeks, but too many folks want it to be like a crappy Ben Affleck movie and have the facts in 2 hours.
