That's curious. Of course there's no accounting for why liberals do what they do, but that makes no sense. How do they prevent people from posting previously posted material and cluttering up their bandwidth, if the erect that kind of barrier? Even an imperfect search function is far more effective if people don't have to pay to use it!

Of course, anything that undermines lib efficiency is a good thing.
