This is absolutely incorrect. Illegal immigration needs to be stopped at the borders, not try to turn every US citizen into a hunter of illegals. That is totally backwards.

You've either not read my proposals, didn't understand them, or are deliberately misrepresenting them.

You also don't understand why "secure the borders" propaganda that ignores the interior neither addresses nor solves the real problem:

Our politicians, Democrats and Republicans alike, are failing to enforce our laws against Illegals.

If the borders are secured and the current situation is dealt with internatlly, there will be no more problems.

Amnesty isn't dealing with the situation, spin and handwringing notwithstanding.

Advocate and vote for appeasement if you must; I will not.

There is nothing wrong with your proposals, except that they are totally unrealistic.

If you were elected dictator, and could do anything you wanted, than you could implement them. Short of that, they are just pipedreams.

There is nothing wrong with your proposals, except that they are totally unrealistic.

You offered a challenge to propose realistic solutions.

I answered, eighteen times. Eighteen specific proposals.

You've responsed with nothing in the way of specifics, you simply declare them "totally unrealistic."

What weight should your declaration carry, given how wrong you were about Schwarzenegger's views on Illegals during the Recall? You've conceded his true leanings at #131 on this thread, though you've yet to acknowledge this about-face.

You need to come up with specific and realistic objections to my proposals.

If you were elected dictator, and could do anything you wanted, than you could implement them. Short of that, they are just pipedreams.

Typical ad hominem of an Amnesty apologist.

Impute dark motives, draconian tactics, and megalomaniacal ambitions where none exist.

My proposals are workable, economical, and mostly politically uncontroversial. A dictatorship is completely unnecessary, either for their passage or their implementation.

Here's the reality: your Amnesty ambitions would be tremendously divisive for the GOP. It would cost more votes than it would gain. Elections would be lost, though probably not the Presidency. Judicial appointments will be set back, not advanced, and for what?

For a craven abdication of responsibility and sovereignty to appease ten million foreign criminals.

What I am wondering about, do women and minorities feel invulnerable to terrorism? One would think they would get a clue and support Bush in larger numbers.

This woman, who has yet to be accused of lacking clues, is sorely disappointed with his utter sellout on illegal immigration.

the police go on a house to house search and grab anyone who can't present citizenship papers, drag them kicking and screaming and heave them across the border to Mexico?

Nope --- but talks of amnesties should end --- that only certainly encourages more breaking of the laws as they feel there is an even bigger reward waiting for them in doing so.

The government could go after those committing document fraud --- and warn that anyone committing a felony crime like presenting a stolen Social Security number as there own has no hope ever of obtaining legal residency or citizenship --- they should be hunted down and permanently deported. Stop giving free health care and other government goodies to those who don't belong here. Deport them as they pop up. Deport all criminal aliens ---- those committing DWIs, shoplifters, driving without insurance, and all the rest.

Which is a real bargain compared to the cost to society of 5 uneducated and unhealthy dependents.

Maybe what we should do is send their government a bill --- if their government doesn't pay the costs of their education and health care --- then deport them. It is the responsibility of their own government to provide these things --- and as the oil industry in Mexico is Socialized, each illegal could have their expenses here paid out of that money.

These new immigrants can afford the property taxes, because they live 20 to a house. They're turning single family homes into tenements in what used to be the suburbs of Chicago, too.

The future of our cities can be found by taking a good look at Mexico City. Is this what we really want for our country? Every American who believes in open borders really needs to take a trip to the city ---- and don't stay in the Zona Rosa ---- spend some time in the colonias and barrios.

That isn't " urban sprawl "; learn the meaning of the term.

The term " suburb " was coined in Ancient Rome and means exactly what its translation states it does...a quiet town, farming villages, which are just outside of a large city ( in their case, ROME ), which has, since the early 1950s, in America, often been supplanted by the term " bedroom community ".

People move, some folks want a more bucolic atmosphere, in which to raise their families, but still work and/or want to be close to the city; hence, they move to a suburb.

When the guys came home, after WW II, the potato and duck farms, which had covered the vast majority of Long Island, suddenly became SUBURBS. This had absolutely < B> NOTHING at all to do with immigrants, legal or illegal. The same thing happened all across this nation.

Until the end of WW II, Lincolnwood, which is far closer to Chicago ( and some even think that it always WAS just a part of Chicago proper, which it wasn't! )than those you mentioned, was FARMLAND , mostly ALL owned by one family. It most assuredly was NOT a bunch of new immigrants, who built that area up.

I live in a rather rural part of Conn., which was mostly just farms, in the not so distant past.It is now down to a farm or two. My property taxes have gone up, every single year we've lived here and not a single immigrant, of the kind you mean, has moved here, in the 13+ years we've lived here.

By " immigrant ", you mean something quite different, than what that word actually means. I know it, you know it, and anyone with more than three working brains cells knows it. You don't mean someone like my son-in-law, who is white, educated, and from South Africa. There are a LOT of such immigrants out there, and your pejorative use of the word, is an offensive one.

And just WHEN, exactly did your ancestress come here ? Sounds like you've a case of I'm here, so slam the doors shutitis ! Get over it.

I hate to have to explain a joke...that removes the humor from it. In your case, oh pathetic Bushbasher, having to explain that something IS a " joke ",still doesn't render it laughless. As a matter of fact, many thanks for all of your posts; they're the real jokes on any thread. LOL

This may come as a HUGH shock to your system, but YOU are the joke! giggle, giggle, giggle

Tinfoil, unlike earplugs, has cut off the blood supply to your brain, wee one, and short of a brain transplant, I doubt that anything much can help you.

How many of my kind are here ? Far more than you and your ilk... THANK GOD !

The KNOW-NOTHINGS lost most of their numbers long, long ago; unfortunately, you remnants are still around.

And, dear, you really must keep your day job ...As you're not funny, clever, intelligent, perspicacious, relevant, rational, well educated, nor a Conservative. ;^)

Oh? and what's the prize of the challenge? What will you give me if I go through the effort of finding and transcribing the sequence of comments, showing that you have indeed made that claim? Will you at long last find your manners? Will you swear on your life to address the points which are raised instead of attacking what you believe to be the motives of the author? What? I don't work for free.

No. You simply can't back up your claims when challenged.

With all the effort you put into composing the above mumbo jumbo, you could have easily shown me the post where I said an illegal's sales tax made up for the income tax they didn't pay.

But you can't do it. Because I never said such a thing.

Please don't lecture me on manners. Unlike you I don't make false accusations against others here that I can't back up.

you are a transparent fool.
knocking off a few lines takes mere seconds.
going through 200-odd posts, extracting the relevant sequence of claim and counterclaim, formatting them into a coherent text document... that'd take at least 15 minutes. possibly as long as an hour. that's work.
so, again, what will you give me for the effort of ramming your foot into your mouth?

Here's the first of the relevant claims and counterclaims, and I quote:

According to the Center for Immigration Studies, illegal immigrants are at least a $27 billion dollar net cost to the U.S. Taxpayers every year. Legalize them, and they'll still cost us at least a net $27 billion dollars each year.

Have they factored in all the taxes, sales tax and otherwise that these illegal immigrants pay each year?

The first one's free. The rest of the sequence will require agreeable compensation of the variety already mentioned.
Don't attempt to dance with me, sunny jim, I'm in a bad mood.

Right. It could only take a few seconds for you to pound out an incoherent rant designed to cover up the fact you cannot back up your statements.

That's no suprise.

And throw in a little name calling to add some spice to your denial.

going through 200-odd posts, extracting the relevant sequence of claim and counterclaim, formatting them into a coherent text document... that'd take at least 15 minutes. possibly as long as an hour. that's work.

This has to be one of the most pathetic excuses I have ever heard.
Funny, you had no problem accusing me of saying that *sales taxes paid by illegals compensate and make up for income taxes they don't pay*.

But, when I ask you to show me where I ever said such a thing, here you are working overtime inventing all kinds of convoluted and entangled complications as to why you can't do it.

Pathetic.

so, again, what will you give me for the effort of ramming your foot into your mouth?

If you can manage to get your foot out of your own mouth, and answer my challenge, I will give you vindication for your statement.

But I know, and you know that you can't do it.

If you could have, you would have done so by now.

But it is amusing watching you go through these contortions to avoid admitting you were wrong. This is too funny.

Please don't project your personal habits on the rest of us.

Here's the first of the relevant claims and counterclaims, and I quote:

I can't wait. This should be fun.

Read it again. I asked if these taxes were factored in.

I never made the claim that these taxes totally offset and compensate for the income taxes they don't pay or the any welfare they illegally collect.

You drew that conclusion all on your own. That doesn't even make sense.

The first one's free. The rest of the sequence will require agreeable compensation of the variety already mentioned. Don't attempt to dance with me, sunny jim, I'm in a bad mood.

ROFL! This is all you got?

I would be in a bad mood too if I was stuck defending your weak arguments.

It's obvious you have a problem either in comprehension, or in deliberately altering other's statements to suit your own favorite rants.

I simply brought up the fact that illegals do still end up paying taxes in one form or another.

I NEVER claimed that these taxes totally offset or compensate for all the other taxes or costs they place on American society.
YOU said that. NOT me.

If you think you are making up for your lack of ability to answer my challenges by posting these juvenile "toe tasting", "foot in mouth" one liners, think again.

This is what small people typically resort to when the have no real answers.

I'm still waiting for you to show me where I said the sales taxes illegals pay totally offset and compensate for those taxes they don't pay, or social services they might receive.
I never said such a thing.

Fact is even most of the American born poor don't pay enough in taxes to compensate for the social services they receive either.

Anybody knows that.

You need to stop distorting and exagerating the positions of those you disagree with and try to respond to what they actually post.
Just a suggestion.

Rattling off that entire list again in hysterical color isn't answering any of the specific points I raised about the specific items on your list in my post #244, but it obviously gives you your jollies.

The RINOs are building missile silos to protect the lives of their hive of drones that they're reducing to absolute fiscal slavery with their out-of-control, budget-busting spending and record borrowing spree that's all for the good of the "one world". Whooptie Doo-Hoo.

Did you see the movie 'The Matrix'? The machines in 'The Matrix' were very protective of each human component of their power supply, too. It was important that they were all drained at a steady rate, so that they could all be kept alive long enough to suck the maximum amount of life (tax dollars) out of them before it was time to throw away the empty husk and fill the now vacant compartment with a new host.

Most of the poor slobs never realized they were being robbed of their humanity, while they were tucked away in their individual compartments and being fed a load of slop that they'd been convinced is filet mignon.

Sounds just like some Bushbots I know.

'Copper Top' Republicans and proud of it.

Who would have thunk it?

Watch out. If you stop believing that the load of slop they're feeding you is filet mignon, the RINO leadership will fill your compartment with an illegal alien or an H-1 visa holder from the 3rd-world. ;^)
