Naughty, tpaine, you're ducking the question: "How many times you been banned or suspended since that post, tpaine?"

I'm trying to be 'Mr Nice Guy', but ...
Did you graduate with a degree in victimology?

Ah, so you do admit to a....(I trying my best to be charitable here)...a prevarication!
Hey, tpaine, what'd you get for Christmas (do you even celebrate it?) that you really liked? I got 5 pounds of home made beef jerky from one son and a neat "binary coded decimal" clock from the other.

No, I was a building contractor, CJ..
--- But I've found a second career here at FR in getting phony conservatives to attack constitutional principles..
It's a gift..

Libertarians for Life was founded in 1976 to show why abortion is a wrong, not a right. Our reasoning is expressly scientific and philosophical rather than either pragmatic or religious, or merely political or emotional. Politically, of course, our perspective is libertarian. Libertarianism's basic principle is that, under justice, each of us has the obligation not to aggress against (violate the rights of) anyone else -- for any reason (personal, social, or political), however worthy.
The Libertarian Case Against Abortion
To explain and defend our case, LFL argues that:
1. Human offspring are human beings, persons from fertilization.
2. Abortion is homicide -- the killing of one person by another.
3. There is never a right to kill an innocent person. Prenatally, we are all innocent persons.
4. A prenatal child has the right to be in the mother's body. Parents have no right to evict their children from the crib or from the womb and let them die. Instead both parents, the father as well as the mother, owe them support and protection from harm.
5. No government, nor any individual, has a just power to legally depersonify any one of us, born or preborn.
6. The proper purpose of the law is to side with the innocent, not against them.
For details, please read LFL's literature.

Do you believe the state has the constitutional power to criminalize early term abortion by prohibitory type fiat law?

Somehow, your bear hunting trip to BC sounds a tad more exciting than my 5 lb of homemade beef jerky! What kind of cartridge are you planning on using to bag Teddy? Brown bear or grizzly?

I think I'd opt for the 180 grain .308. I'd be kinda nervous about the stopping power of the much lower muzzle energy of the 45/70.
I'd be interested in hearing the outcome of this trip, especially any problems associated with travel into Canada with your weapons and ammo. --Boot Hill

Why should I? -- I don't live off "Social Security monies, stolen at gun point" from my fellow citizens.
Interesting. Mind telling us how you get around that federal employment law that takes SS (along with medicare, federal, and state taxes) out of your paycheck? They don't really give you a choice on the matter.
To: tpaine
Yes.
To: tpaine
I was on the line in Germany. At one point, in late '56 my regiment was at our airbase south of Munich, ready to jump into Budapest during the Hungarian revolution Boy, the Hungarians really dodged a bullet there! Just think if you had actually gone in they would have had a babbling idiot to contend with as well as the Russians.

Nitpicking about what? I thought this was a debate about libertarian philosophy and law? What do you think philosophers and lawyers do, tpaine? They nitpick you witless jerk. Look, if you want to hang out with the other greedy geezers and trade stories about how you *almost* saved the free world by spending 3 years in the 50's licking the bluing off of your BAR, go ahead. If you want to debate philosophy and law, best you learn how to read so you can educate yourself on these matters.

Learn to read. I never 'got around' paying into SS, that's why I get me payback, and fitter it away, enraging FR's communitarians...
