When I called my beagle Max years ago he would look up and around for a few seconds and then go back to what he was doing which was usually sniffing the ground for interesting smells.

So much would be possible if only we could get beyond the monopolistic corruption that still pervades our bureaucratic governments’ space programs. Related thread:

You know, when I heard that the Beagle was to be delivered to the Martian soil protected by balloons and slowed by a parachute, I thought "I don't think so".
