When I called my beagle Max years ago he would look up and around for a few seconds and then go back to what he was doing which was usually sniffing the ground for interesting smells.

You know, when I heard that the Beagle was to be delivered to the Martian soil protected by balloons and slowed by a parachute, I thought "I don't think so".
But of course, I'm not a rocket scientist...
