The United Nations, for instance, wants to create an International Tax Organization (ITO) that would have the power to interfere with national tax policies. Let's see...they want to leave dictators in power; they want to control the Internet; they want to revoke the Constitution of the United States of America's Second Amendment; and now they want to tax us?
If the U.N. is trying to foment an armed revolt against their presence in the United States, they're certainly going about it the right way...

This is not news. They want to impose a firearms and ammunition tax on those nations which allow the private possession of firearms. The UN wants a worldwide property tax. And of course, an energy tax. But of course, no one cares. The sheeple will not bleet loudly, until it's too late.

The time has come for us to get out of the U.N.. The only thing they do for us is take our money. Our Government had better wake up and get us out before it is too late.

What would happen, say, if Howard Dean were president when the U.N. was voting whether to create an International Tax Organization? Could we trust him to veto this nutty scheme? In a word: no.

An international tax organization, of course, would mean higher taxes and bigger government. Indeed, U.N. officials have been quite open about their intentions. The chairman of the U.N. panel that first endorsed the creation of an ITO said that it would take a lead role in restraining tax competition. According to this mentality, its unfair for America to have lower taxes than places such as France and Germany, especially if it means that jobs and investment flee Europes welfare states and come to America This is idiotic. First of all, jobs are created by businesses and commerce. The governments in France and Germany provide health care for all their citizens which in turn makes it a lower cost for businesses (they don't have to provide it).
Excessive taxation allows governments to subsidize whole industries and promotes dumping (selling products below their cost to capture market share and destroy competition).
If Kofi and Co want to make markets fair they should limit taxation and government, not seek to expand it. No country (or union of countries) has ever taxed itself to prosperity.

Higher taxes are the answer to everything, don't you know - tax and spend, tax and spend, tax and spend.
On the other hand, cutting taxes and spending isn't a surefire bet, either. Cutting taxes and cutting spending is pretty logical.
On the subject of the UN, they, personally, can kiss my ass.

The concept of "tax harmonization" is really big in the EU and with socialists in general. They view excessively low tax rates as a violation of "international law". The will talk about "harmony" and then about a central authority since everything is "in harmony". This is not WTO. This is how to get permanent unelected power.

I am petrified of seeing another Democrat in the White House... the stakes are way too high right now.
It's no longer just a gamble about whether we'll have to choke down more welfare, enviro reforms, soft on crime, pro-abortion, anti-religion moves, etc.... now America's very sovereignty is in play.
