I like how Chalabi keeps referring to him as the TYRANT...
Pretty silly to even entertain the notion that the Iraq people are not happy today ...

Brit Hume on FNC this morning said that it will be especially interesting since Saddam was captured alive whether he will give out information on which countries opposed to the war were in contact with him just prior and after the war!
The pro-Saddam supporters must be absolutely devastated because they may be exposed for the dictator supporters they are.
I've said for years - the left never met a dictator they didn't love.

Ha, me too. My mom called this morning and my son answered the phone and told her that I was sleeping. My mom said to wake her up b/c Saddam was captured. He's 6 and started running through the house. We got him, we got him! =)

I bought a small cheap TV and put it in my computer/craft room, placed strategically so I see both the monitor and the tube with one glance. It saved steps.

wanna bet SCOTT RITTER bought Saddam a paper shreader for XMas ? I bet Ritter's panties are bunched

I want to see Christianne Amanpour's pissed-off mug on TV. Is she still in Russia?

We've got him!!! Great job, troops!

I specifically recall hearing Gen. Sanchez state the capture of Saddam was a result of intelligence - maybe that means a tip received during interrogation of someone captured in Tikrit Saturday.
To: Maigrey
That could be right. I don't care how he was found, but it would be the extra frosting on the cake if we don't even have to pay over the reward $$ because it was a Saddam loyalist already in jail that turned him in.
At one point, I'd have been disappointed that Saddam was captured alive.
But after reading about how important it was for the national psyche in both Germany and Japan to participate in trials against the evil people, I've come to realize that such trials can heal a nation. It will be a catharsis for the innocents in Iraq that they will be able to watch/participate in a trial against Saddam.

The Iraqis at the presser want the trial to be public and televised.

I wonder if he is willing to rat out the subversive forces here and abroad. That should make some interesting intelligence...

They're doing the Kool Aid line at the moment. It's what they do BEST! : )

It is also possible that he really did want to use it, but it may have been of French manufacture and simply didn't work. LOL!
