Ethnicity has officially been declared a non-issue in Iran. This official blindness stems from the narrow Persian Shia/nationalist view that religion is a more objective and more authentic vessel of social identity than ethnicity or nationality, which was officially seen as an _expression of false consciousness. So, it's not because you all are not "persian"... It's because Iran is a terrorist regime of oppression and death. Everyone else there is being oppressed too.

No known terrorists who've attacked and/or planned attacks on the U.S. have been Kurds. *That* is the difference.

Now why would we want to protect the ayatollahs?! Maybe some people aren't sure who's worse -- the ayatollahs or the Baluch?

And why should we do anything to help those who have a history of collaborating with Saddam Hussein?

So, here's a question not often asked, but one that I think needs answering:

Anywhere between 1,000 and 3,000 radical Moslems loosely connected to Al-Qaeda or affiliated groups have been allowed to pass through the Balochistan portion of Iran to fight in Iraq - which has resulted in the deaths of American Soldiers - who in "Balochistan" allows this to happen? Has "Balochistan" made a pact with "the devil" in their fight for Freedom?

Ok, so that was tow questions. Sue me ;0)

They apparently made one with their fellow Sunni, Saddam Hussein.

Well, while I don't like what Iran is doing - maybe they see the handwriting on the wall and are cleaning up the mess there so that WE don't ;0)

Sorry, but I do NOT trust people who put themselves in cahoots with Hussein and who also are something of a breeding ground for the islamofascists who have committed terrorism right on our soil.

The only reason they are anti-ayatollah is that the old Sunni-vs-Shia thing. It has absolutely nothing to do with anything else.

If you've ever read any of the Balochistani websites, you'll see things where they say that they will pretty much make alliances with anyone who will help them in their fight - they come right out and say that... THey have no qualms with siding with Dictators, Terrorists, or anyone else who will help "the movement".

I don't trust them either...

Right! While I don't shed any tears over any damage they do to the mad mullahs, I'm not particularly optimistic over what may happen if they get into any kind of power position.

Unfortunately, I think we learned that lesson (at least, I hope we have learned it!) after we supported the Afghan locals and turned a blind eye to the islamofascist fanatics vs. the Soviets in the 80s.

I think we knew that the islamofascists were bad guys, but not as bad as the commies -- and didn't realize just what they'd evolve into being. And, no, I am in NO WAY blaming us at all for that, so nobody should flame me for that!

You're blaming us!!!!!!

Just kidding ;0)

THe power vacuum left by the Soviets when they bailed on Afghanistan did more to allow the rise of the Taliban Regime, and their Al Qaida "friends", than anything we did... and lets not forget who it was that provided a lot of funding to anti-west terror groups during the 60s, 70s, and 80s... ;0)

Your making a lot of accusations there. I am sure you have some evidence to support your assertions.

Not so sure i have found all this info about any alliance the Balochi's had with saddam. Would be interested in reading it tho.
From the sounds of it the Balochi's are being murdered in the streets by Revolutionary Guard, so it does not seem they are part of the evil regime now does it.

I am glad to see people rising above on ther own as one post mentioned, and trying to fight this oppression. I agree the iranian government is so very evil, and these are one more group of people suffering within the whole.
DrZin (a freeper) Works with groups of Iranian Students helping them to learn about freedom and democracy.
These people are trying to do something to help themselves in my opinion, and i sure hope they continue. When their story reaches international media attention, it puts more pressure on the evil gov ...don't you think? And empowers more people being suppressed and tortured in the world.
