"...If they consider the protestors a danger, they should handle the protestors..." *************************
HellinaHandcart, those are my exact sentiments. You have to wonder about the mental (in)competency of these protestors that they'll arrive at a hunt dressed as a bear to generate support. These bizarre people have lots of time on their hands.
If they get aggressive with peaceful hunters, they should be promptly arrested and charged.

I live in wayne, N.J. which is pretty far east and there was a bear sighting there last week.
I'm going out monday for the hunt. I'm not looking forward to all the media and protesters, but I gotta do what I gotta do. I'll be dammed if I let 'em get the best of me!

Wow, that IS pretty far east. I used to shop at Willowbrook Mall when I lived in Bloomfield. Good luck, hope you bag one. :)

that they'll arrive at a hunt dressed as a bear to generate support. Are you serious?
If they get aggressive with peaceful hunters
Like, how? By charging out of the brush in a bear suit? Why, then---um...er...oh never mind. :-X

This bear hunt is an outrage! I'm sure funds could have been raised to move these majestic animals to a better location. Hunters in our country are no different than the poachers in Asia and Africa. If it weren't for the law holding them back, every bear, mountain lion and bald eagle would be exterminated. Education and relocation was the solution here, not the slaughter of these great animals. Let us show our world neighbors that we can co-exist with our large and exotic animals.

A BLAST FROM THE PAST
How did you retrieve this thread? It's a bit stale, no?
