"There was one man who killed JFK and his name was Lee Harvey Oswald"

If the author believes that .. he'll believe anything.

You should have watched the History Channel's presentation. I am convinced that LBJ and J Edgar Hoover orchestrated the assassination and the coverup. The Warren Commission was a group of buffoons.

Fine. I'll sign onto that line of thinking just as soon as the government un-seals the files they are sitting on until 2029. Until then, I'll go on believing that there is something that it's hiding.

You posted exactly what I was going to say. The memory of that day 40 years ago is like today. I know the government has never come clean on what it knows. Even if Oswald was the lone gunman, I think Castro or the Mafia -- or both -- were involved. It's time to unseal the secrets and trust the people.

Heads-up to PA Freepers. PCN is now running the proceedings of the Cyril Wecht meeting of Forensic Pathologists. I hope they link the proceedings to their site at a later date.

www.jfk.duq.edu

Wecht also had a few words about the Ron Brown "murder" in his opening remarks.

I saw something in the last year or so of how tapes of the dallas police radio had been found, and that said tapes did show multiple shots in close succession, i.e. from more than one gun. Does anyone else remember this or what became of it?

Yes. In 1978 the House Select Committee on Assassinations studied a copy of that tape (the original had somehow disappeared from the National Archives). A summary of that investigation states:

"Although it is still not known by the average man on the street, the Assassinations Committee decided that there was a second gunman and that he did indeed fire from the grassy knoll. It's apparent that this unknown gunman fired the fatal head shot which the government still wants us to believe Oswald fired. Of course, Oswald may have been involved, but then again maybe he was just a patsy like he claimed. Whatever his role was, it's time for the government to help track down the others that were involved."

I would hope Barbra Streisand would begin to understand WHY so many people were upset at the "dramatic license" taken with the Reagan movie.

What a great analogy Maria. Thanks for bringing it up.

I have no idea if LHO was involved in ths or not, but the magic bullet theory is laughable.

What's laughable is the fact that your knowledge of the magic bullet theory is based on Hollywood movie -- "JFK". If you knew the facts of the case, as opposed to what you remember from a movie, you would not call it laughable.

Please go to Dallas! I went to Dallas and saw the fence/grassy knoll etc. There is no way someone shot from there. It is a huge parking lot (a train station in 1963). Anyone who took a shot from there would have been caught in about 2 seconds!

Oswald did not kill anyone that day; as a matter of fact, I believe that he did not even fire a weapon on 22 November 1963

Who killed Officer Tippett?

As to the old geezer with the cheapo Italian import rifle: 3 USMC Expert-class shooters and 3 NRA'ers who were also pretty good couldn't pull off 3 AIMED shots in 7.2 sec.

I just tried it dry-firing here at home with the wife timing me and I was able to do it in under 8 seconds. The clock doesn't start until the first shot is fired, then you have the full 8 seconds to fire the next two. Are you telling me it takes more than 4 seconds to aim and fire a shot with a scoped rifle?

Of course, he could have been really lucky, too...

Why were the warren commsisions records sealed for 75 years?

Why is the census record that you filled out in 2000 sealed for 70 years?

I don't believe the Reichstag Fire was committed by the lone nut Marinus van der Lubbe because the Nazi Party's chief orators, Hitler, Goebbels, and Göring, just happen to have been in Berlin and without any speaking engagements the evening of the fire, at the height of an election campaign.

I don't believe the JFK assassination was committed by the lone nut Lee Harvey Oswald because the preceding evening LBJ, J. Edgar Hoover, and Richard Nixon just happen to have been at a dinner party at the home in Dallas of oilman Clint Murchison, and LBJ at that party told his mistress that, after the next day, the Kennedys would never embarrass him again.

Myself, just looking at the Zapruder film convinces me Kennedy was hit in the front.

Have you looked at the Nix film? To me it shows a hit from the rear better than the Zapruder film.

Here's what Johnson thought about it:

"Kennedy was trying to get Castro, but Castro got him first. . . . It will come out someday!" - President Lyndon B. Johnson

I used to believe the claim LBJ made there, but now I am inclined to regard that statement as an attempt to divert responsibility. I have been persuaded by Barr McClellan's book Blood, Money & Power: How L. B. J. Killed J. F. K. (and by various other books I have read recently that make LBJ look like an utterly unprincipled sociopath) that the true responsibility lies with LBJ himself.

That's a Real Player file, I'll have to look at it tomorrow after I re-install the program, but thanks for posting it. I do have a copy of the original Nix film and can't really tell whether the hit's from the back or front.

It shows a cone of red spray going out the front -- impossible with a front entry wound.

"... the true responsibility lies with LBJ himself."

Are you a dupe of the KGB's attempt at subversion of the American public?
