There were files sealed by Pres. Johnson for 75 years that contain information regarding the assassination... there can be no real reason not to unseal these records now!
That pristin magic bullet just doesn't jive...no way it caused all that damage, fractured Connally's wrist, etc, and has no real marks on it from such trauma...the fragments left in Connally's wrist could have disproven the magic bullet theory, but Mrs. Connally refused to allow them to be removed at the time of his death! The cover-up continues....

So why the hatred towards him by the conservatives? Is it the adultery thing?

I don't hate him. JFK was a bonafide war hero, a tax cutter and he loved America and was unabashed in proclaiming his love for this country and our common heritage as AMericans. I think alot of people resent the hagiography that has developed since his assasination...but if he were running for President today against ANY of the 9 dwarfs or Hitlery I would vote for him in a minute.

Many conservatives of that time hated him it seems. I guess in the context of those days he was a lefty or more left than many were used to.

Jackie said that the reason she was trying to crawl on the trunk was to pick up his brain fragments that were spattered on the trunk (that is behind him)

That's not true. Jackie never said any such thing. Other people have speculated that she was doing that, but she wasn't.

"why did his head jerk backwards and the skull fragment behind him?"

And why did every Dr. present call the neck wound an entry wound, and why was the big exit wound in the back of his head?

Just yesterday I re-read Life magazine's famous issue when they showed the Zapruder film frame by frame. The red mist was not in existence. Either they edited it out, or it was edited in later. In any case, published autopsy photos show JFK's face to be undamaged, and witnesses who saw his body soon after the shooting said he looked normal. Everyone at Parkland said the major defect was in the back of the head.

Thanks for that--that red mist was added in later by computer imaging when the film was colored. You are right.

So? -- What was she doing on the trunk?

And, -- how do you know her purpose for being there?

I am a babe in the woods regarding this stuff. The President was shot from the back but also from the front accoriding to the concpiracy theory. Triangulation-3 gunmen firing at the same time?

It's been many years since i visited the Sixth Floor Museum. I do think it is worth the visit if, for no other reason, than to see for yourself the feasibility of Oswald's (alleged) position. Even though you cannot look through the actual window, the neighboring windows provide context.

For someone who hasn't waked through Dealey Plaza, it's difficult to understand the "layout" because of the street the motorcade was on. Three streets are merging together while dipping below a railroad overpass so the street is moving both away from the "sniper's nest" and at a downward angle. Factor in also that Kennedy's seat in the limo is intentionally high up and that the "jumper" seat with the taller Connally in it is lower to the floor of the car. That's what makes lining up the wounds to the naked eye so difficult because the angles provided by the street and the positions of the passengers in the limo skew what our senses tell us would happen on a typical street running parallel to a typical building.

Even accounting for all of this, I personally have trouble believing that a bullet fired from the sixth floor could strike their targets at the low angles that are often portrayed in the visuals each side makes to present their case. But you do definitely feel closer to the target from that window than your mind tells you you ought to be.

The tour, at least then and I presume still does, doesn't take much of a stand on conspiracy or no - seeking rather to act as historical context, not persuader. You will, of course, encounter a lot of exhibits that will influence you to believe Kennedy was a great president who would have done great things had he lived - such is the sentimentality that often follows in the wake of tragedy.

Once the tour is over, you must do two other things. One is to stand on the pedastal that Zapruder stood on so you can have an appreciation for his position while filiming the shooting. The second is to stand behind the picket fence (much of it dismantled by souvenir-hunters and the like) and position yourself about three feet from the "crook" in the fence where it bends to meet the columns. This is where many theorists place a "grassy knoll gunman" and if you think Oswald had an easy shot from the TSBD, wait until you see how close you are while standing behind the fence.

Also, watch out for traffic. It's still a busy Downtown street. A few blocks north of Dealey Plaza is the West End which has been revived into a trendy area of shops, theatres and restaurants - a good place to go to get your mind off of what you've just seen.

There used to be a fellow who offered bus tours that not only took you through Dealey Plaza but took you to sites like Oswald's boarding house, the house where Lee and Marina took the "backyard photos", the site of the Tippit shooting, the Texas Theatre where Oswald was captured and the old police building where Oswald was questioned then shot. I believe the fellow running that tour died awhile back but it was interesting and, again, helped you to get a feel for what sort of distances were covered so you can better judge for yourself if the logistics argued about in the case are believable or not.

Dealey Plaza does feel spooky for me when I visit. It's as if you have flashbacks. I think the city would just as soon forget its place in that part of history but, like the WTC site will be, it will forever carry many raw emotions that the public understands will never go away.
