bump--for those who live in this area but may, as yet, not know about this Saturday service for this fallen American soldier/hero

"When will mankind realize that freedom works and is worth fighting and dying for?"

Whose freedom? Certainly not Americans'. If you feel that way, then by all means we should bring back the draft and impress as many young people into compulsory military service as possible, ship them to every trouble spot on earth and watch the fireworks begin.

How about Rwanda? The last time I checked over 2 million Rwandans had died in that civil war. How 'bout freedom for Rwandans? If we're going to be the world's policeman, then let's go all the way, and damn the cost in U.S. blood and money.

Once again. Would you please either post your political views as private replies or just leave this memorial posting alone? This is not the place for a political discussion. I would really appreciate it.

He was a Specialist in Company A, First Battalion, 35th Armor, First Armored Division, Combined Joint Task Force 7.

God give strengh to his family and motivation to his army buddys to kick ass, find Saddam and display his bullet ridden arab carcass for the world to see. I pray justice is done for this fallen American Heroe, real soon.
Please President Bush make Saddam join Uday and Usay in hell, asap.

The official statement is

Benson was shot and killed in unusual circumstances on Nov. 5. The Army said he suffered a "nonhostile gunshot wound" at a checkpoint in Baghdad. The Army's criminal investigation division has been called into the case, but no details have been released.

So if you have evidence of more than that, show it. Otherwise your comments are inappropriate.
