Subtlety is not a local attribute. Interestingly, this bastion of Conservatism, this seat of abolitionism, this Pennsylvania German oasis is pretty outspoken where moral values are concerned. That we would have the 'suggestive' locality names proves how the language has evolved. Bird-in-Hand refers to an old tavern of the same name. The symbol of a bird in a hand, a pictograph to assist the illiterate of years past. The same with Blue Ball. As well as White Horse.
Just another example of how perverted the national population has become.
