Great, once again pulling a big bat when there are two outs. Even Ortiz can score from second.

It's a good thing Ortiz didn't have to run more than 180 feet --- he would have had a heart attack.

I wouldn't have taken Ortiz out. This game goes a couple of innings longer, they'll miss his bat.

2. This is it.
To: baseballfanjm
OK so Kapler can run and has a decent bat.

You're leaving out the Goron in blue standing 15 feet from the play that couldn't tell that Idiot Nonsavant's hands and half his forearms, as well as Alou's glove, were all over the field of play (Wednesday's RedeyeChicago, unfortunately a Tribune publication, had the proof on its front page; a shot that was for all intents and purposes perfectly parallel to the left-field wall).

Maybe religion will be enough now. ;-) Don't count on it. Better dig out that airplane glue. ;-)

Speaking of hockey....momentum is everything.Absolutely! I feel the momentum is now with the Sox, but I think the should have left Ortiz in regardless of his baserunning. They will need the big stick later on ...

Popped up, inning over.

3 outs, down to the bottom of the 10th inning. Wakefeild pitches.
To: baseballfanjm
I agree. Bad idea, especially on a grass field, Almost anything out of the infield scores Ortiz. If it goes 12-13 innings where are you?
To: Prodigal Son
Yup, Kapler hasn't looked good lately.
